Unable to install from website nor update
« on: September 22, 2009, 02:39:17 PM »
I tried the check for updates from mids but it would also give me an error message, so I tried uninstall and reinstall. I was unsuccessful with reinstall. This is the message I get when I try to download from site link http://www.cohplanner.com/.

Response denied by WatchGuard HTTP proxy.
Reason: header 'Content-Type' denied rule='Default' value='application/x-msdos-program'
Method: GET
Host: repo.cohtitan.com
Path: /mids_updates/exe/MXDSetup1-6001-Stable.exe

Please advise,

Duke-on Liberty

Are you using Internet Explorer 6?  Because you shouldn't be.

Oh, nevermind. You have a proxy installed. Disable this proxy, or you won't be able to download it.

I'm imagining you're at work, which means you can't disable it.

If you just want to tinker around with builds, there's always the Online version. Not as fancy as Mids but you can at least play around on it.

Or do what I do, zip up the installed folder from home, email it to myself, and download when I get to work.  I don't have admin rights on my machine at work, so unzipping the folder and running the exe works like a champ.
