so i cannot connect to the server, i have the latest version, have made firewall exceptions, disabled avg, verified, reinstalled and still nothing.  i have no issue logging into the forum and i believe my forum info is my login info plus @chat.cohtitan.com  any help where to look for an issue or a step i may of forgot would be super helpful

thanks!

Ideas:

-- Highly unlikely but check with ISP if you're at home.  Is the port blocked?  5222, 5269, and 5298 are the defaults.  If they block the ports, not much to be done short of changing providers.  Public internet locations like School Campuses (including Dorms and Student Housing), Libraries, and Workplaces with BYOD all tend to block chat services like IRC, XMPP, and such, so if you're not using it at home YMMV.
-- Username is your forum name.  You don't have to do the @chat.cohtitan.com anymore, it'll assume that's where you're signing into.
-- Is the error message "XMPP was unable to connect!  Make sure that your XMPP login information is correct"?  If it is not, what is the error message saying specifically?

Im on comcast so im guessing if they were blocking those ports there would be alot more help requests, are there other ports i can test?  and yes the error is "XMPP was unable to connect!  Make sure that your XMPP login information is correct"

Interesting.

The first thing I'll offer is the "check it again" advice.  In the interest that there's something overlooked:

-- Firewall exceptions: If you use a software firewall, make sure ParagonChat.exe is allowed both incoming and outgoing traffic.  To be honest, I've never set it in Windows Firewall and it's worked, so if that's your firewall, you can add the rules to make sure it's one cog out of the way of getting it to work.
-- Disable AntiVirus.  Not only add ParagonChat.exe as an exception, but if you have Heuristic Scanning running (where AV blocks virus like behavior regardless of the app running), shut that off and see if it clears up.
-- Run as Administrator.  This shouldn't be necessary, but try running Paragon Chat as an administrator to see if it works.  This breaks some things, especially if you use voice chat (if your voice app isn't running as admin along with Paragon Chat, PTT keystrokes get ignored.)  So when you confirm this isn't the issue, turn it back off to open it as a normal user.

The last idea I have: change your password at http://cohtitan.com/forgot and see if a successful password change would let you sign in.  If you haven't signed in since 2015 before Soon™ was renamed to Paragon Chat, then that might be a culprit.  The SSO setup changed on Titan during then, so a password reset was needed in order to be able to login.

If none of that works, let us know.

i forwarded the ports on the router but using a port checker site they are still listed as closed.  looks like i'm gonna have to call Comcast.  seems so strange this would be an issue
