cannot connect to XMPP, even with firewall disabled?
« on: November 19, 2017, 02:31:53 PM »
not sure what is going on with this. i've tried adding the app to white list, setting exceptions to everything, disabling my firewall, and even shutting it completely off. it still will not connect. i've also tried changing my password through the titan network site and using the new password.

nothing is working. help please?

When I log on, my box says "MyriVerse(at)cohtitan.com" not "...(at)chat.cohtitan.com" . Try removing the "chat."

Can't be that, mine says @chat.cohtitan.com as well and I have no trouble connecting. Haven't got any dodgy proxy settings or anything in your XMPP client have you? It just worked for me, right after install.

If the paragonchat XMPP port are already used by an other application, it's should make a little problem.
Try to shutdown this app or change the port and after relaunch paragonchat client.
I'm French, sometime Google translate help me.

You don't need a specific XMPP client. ParagonChat.exe acts as your client. It just happens to use an XMPP chat server. I mentioned the proxy settings on paragonchat.exe because someone else having your issue found that those settings had 'somehow' been changed and I thought it would be something worth checking.
