Events

• Winter is coming (to Paragon City)!
  
  The 2016 winter event, aside from being barely tested and probably bug-ridden, re-introduces the familiar activity of hunting presents hidden by a mysterious entity throughout the city.
  
  Inside these presents can be found special rewards such as the Holiday Rocket Pack and other fun items. Also new is the ability to give gifts to other players.
  
  NOTE: Rewards from opening presents are temporary and only last until you log off.

What's scaring me is that I still remember the gift hunting routes I used to take in Atlas Park, Steel Canyon and Talos Island.

Finally tried it and had some fun. Thank you very much, Codewalker. Kicking my gift barrel around was fun. If only there were more people around (who I didn't want to interrupt while RPing) to give gifts to!

Curious about the range of objects - I didn't get anything too outrageous - a wastebin, a rusty barrel, and some other minor things.

If you open enough gifts, Kassandros, you can get the Jingle Jet (YAY!), and one or more 'Holiday Cheers'.  I am so loving this, really brings back the feel of the Holiday event.  HUGE thanks to CodeWalker!!

The Holday Rocket Pack is a random chance from opening presents, but the chance of receiving it increases with each present you open. It's virtually guaranteed you'll get one within the first 10 drops.

I'm working on a way for the event powers to persist across sessions, but it's not finished yet. Look for a 1.0.7.1, hopefully in the next few days.

The event ends after Jan. 7.

Hey I noticed some of my suggested messages, and the gift presents were my suggestion too.  I can't say that they probably were already considering holiday gift presents.

Oh the jingle jet was the first thing I got! And I got a few cheers but ran out of people to give them to. I was just speaking of the random objects outcome and wondered how big the universe of possibilities was for that.
