A real-life hero fallen: Torquemada
« on: October 27, 2015, 04:27:04 AM »
I always HATE posting these types of messages, but I also want to keep folks informed when I can and I feel that they serve to remind us that this was more than a game, it's a community.  There have been several Facebook posts lately informing everyone that after a brave and spirited 3.5-month war against lung cancer, we lost James "Torquemada" Hooper Monday afternoon.  James was not only a hero in Paragon City, he was a paramedic and EMT trainer. He was also a HUGE fan of Halloween, rigging up his house with lights and sounds via computer to put on spectacular displays. I didn't know him personally, but looking over his Facebook page, I surely do wish that we had met up and hung out at some point.

My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends, and I know that his life will be celebrated and remembered for many, many years to come.

Here's to James Hooper, known to some as Torquemada,

Sorry to hear that as well. I've been away in N.Y. helping my family out.
So this is my first time I saw this.

I wonder what server he was on.
He sounds like he was a fun person.
