The "Suicide Squad" movie trailer

Super Firebug

It has Batman in it, and also has the Bee Gees song, "I Started a Joke", which is an unusual song to choose for a movie trailer. I may have missed an official mention sonewhere as to the movie's plot, but does anyone else get the feeling that it may be connected to "The Killing Joke" in some way?
Linux. Because a world without walls or fences won't need Windows or Gates.

Vee

Doubt it since Bruce Timm's currently working on an animated adaptation of the Killing Joke.

I for one am hoping the trailer is the joke.

I'm bad and that's good.
I'll never be good and that's not bad.
There's no one I'd rather be than me.

...unless I could be Batman, of course. Everybody wants to be Batman.

Ditto. Someone seems to have decided the Suicide Squad is the place to play the "ragtag bunch of misfits" trope, and make the characters antiheroes rather than, you know... murderous sociopaths with a chronic backstabbing disorder.
We were heroes. We were villains. At the end of the world we all fought as one. It's what we did that defines us.
The end occurred pretty much as we predicted: all servers redlining until midnight... and then no servers to go around.

Somewhere beyond time and space, if you look hard you might find a flash of silver trailing crimson: a lone lost Spartan on his way home.

Murderous sociopath... Anti-hero...

Tomato... tomato...
When you insult someone by calling them a "pig" or a "dog" you aren't maligning pigs and dogs everywhere.  The same is true of any term used as an insult.

Vee

I'm not even sure they're going with anti-hero. the horrible will smith trailer lines make it seem more like they're trying for lovable scamp.

CG

"Have you ever killed anyone?"
"Yes, but they were all bad."

There's a new trailer.
And after watching it a few times, I can say without a doubt that I love Margot Robbie's Harley...
and that she'll totally steal the movie. Sorry Will.

I just watched the new trailer. I never heard of this movie before today and my immediate  impression is...
They put the Joker in the Hancock sequel? Party on Garth!
History shows again and again
How nature points out the folly of men

Vee

How about they dragged Jared leto out of an icp show and into the Hancock sequel?
