Some of My Questions and Concerns

Photon Cannon

First of all, thank you whoever you are for taking the time to read this. If anyone out there remembers @Photon Cannon from Guardian or Virtue, hi there! Long story short, I've been kind of inside and outside the box with CoT and Titan Network, watching and seeing what happens. I've been playing Champions Online for about three years now. I just popped back in today to hear about this "Paragon Chat" deal, and to hear that negotiations to regain CoH are still going on. If someone could take the time to answer my questions then I would truly appreciate it.

A few disclaimers first: I'm nervous writing this for some reason. I believe that the sense of hope or confusion or discomfort is coming as overwhelming because this is all sudden to me. I also have tried to read Announcement posts and other threads and the Paragon Chat FAQ, so I'm trying my best to not repeat questions that already exist somewhere. I also realize that I may be putting this topic in the wrong place--If this is the case, then I'm very sorry. The navigation for the site is still a bit complicated for a newbie. And last but not least, I realize how dumb I may sound to people when I ask these questions. Please, bear with me. I am not a programmer and I am not as skilled as many of you are.

Question #1: Just how legal is this "Paragon Chat?"
Yes, I have read forums talking about this, at least the ones I know exist. First off, let's face it; I'm 18 years old and I'm more akin to organics like animals than I am with coding, etc. To my understanding, if the server is considered offline, then it isn't overstepping legal boundaries...right? Codewalker made a statement that Paragon Chat is "probably more legal than ICON since it doesn't involve mucking with the code." But then, is it really legal? If someone could explain to me in a straightforward manner how Paragon Chat is or is not legal (which it sounds like it is), I would appreciate it.

Question #2: My computer which had my i24 City of Heroes client died. If I were to ever use Paragon Chat, is there a legal way to regain my client? Or can I just...download a client/use Paragon Chat without any issue?
You can guess by now that I am a fan of morality when it comes to games.  I know that there is a way to recover data lost on computer hard drives, but I'm no genius and I'm not sure if it's been too long to recover it now--I'm not even sure where the darn computer went since my house was cleaned. It's likely in the back room...Anyway, I'm assuming that my client is a lost cause? And if that's so, is there no way for me to use Paragon Chat in the future?

Question #3: Is there a way for me to keep update on how negotiations for CoH is going?
I learned from reading some forums that there is a "Non-Disclosed Agreement" (may have referred incorrectly on the term) in which information about the negotiations cannot be offered to the public. But is there anything, anywhere, where information that can be given out is available? To my knowledge, there is only the thread posted somewhere here on Titan Network about "how the negotiations are still in motion."

If I think of any more questions, then I will be sure to post later in this thread, if not simply edit this post.

Yours,
Jesse // @Photon Cannon

1. Perfectly legal. It doesn't touch anything made by Cryptic or NCsoft. It utilizes the client that is already existing on your computer.
