The Canyon. I loved every part of it, from the university, to the tailor shop, to the north end tram station, to running north to south through the green-space and taking out tsoo an the circle of thorns. I loved to just sit in the north end and people-watch.

Steel Canyon.

I know this zone really well because I explored every part it on foot with my first character.  From the first time my brother and I tip toed our way to the Boomtown gates to getting lost trying to get back to the Train Station and then figuring out how to get up to the Train Station from the lower level.  It was also the first zone where I discovered Enhancement stores (way, way back in the day nothing was marked out on the minimap) when I stopped to wonder why this sign above a shop looked higher resolution than the surrounding buildings.  It was the Mutant shop.  Eventually, Steel Canyon became the first zone I was able to memorize where every store was.

Going with Peregrine on this one. For me, it was the light at the end of the tunnel (before AE, debt changes, and easing of the level curve). It was the place were a character could finally hang with the big kids, running (and contributing to) portal missions, and getting your own portal missions. It was Crimson and Monster Island, and the little, tiny island with the million, zillion Rikti Monkeys. It was where you went to hunt down Illusionist pets and Fake Nemesis. Fun, fun times!

Oh, and who could possibly forget the lowbies who somehow managed to sprint their way to Portal Corp, just to stand by the sign and zone spam "PL MEH!!"

Steel Canyon. Where do you think the inspiration for my name came from? :P Steel Canyon is my favorite zone in the game of all time. Peregrine was an interesting choice for you to use as well, since it is my second favorite. :P

As a map.. Steel Canyon.. because its that first map that you hit that made you go.. OH WOW.. remember back in the day you didn't get flight until 14. So when you were finally able to FLY to the tops of the buildings.. it was an awesome feeling.

You're forgetting some of the features of PI.
It is the only of two zones blue side where you arrive by ferry.
There was no annoying train making noise as it went by.
It felt like the "Big Kid" playground, you're finally a 5th grader, you can play with the sixth graders now.
Plus, it is a small "land area" zone with a simple layout.

Steel-Kings-Skyway, to me, all felt a lot a like.
Of those three, Steel is my favorite, no question.
And PI is not my favorite zone, but compared to Steel, I would go with PI.

Oh, by the way, I'm not the final say on any of these battles, so feel free to call me a marshmallow head, just not to my face, or to my circle and triangles.

What a big fat marshmallow head.

PI was just for farming.
Remember, it's only words.

PI was just for farming.

There was a lot more to PI than just farming.
There was even a respec trial contact for Statesman's stake.

While I enjoyed PI, I mostly went there for the portals. I did do a few of the side missions, though only after most of the Portal Corp missions were done. God, those were addictive.  :o

I think it's settled - Steel Canyon.   8)
