Given SoE's history, namely SWG, this really doesn't surprise me unfortunately...

I'm not surprised by this, but it's also only one side of the story and doesn't seem without bias. I've put up with SOE since original EQ was in beta (Verant was a part of 989 Studios which was Sony) so I'm not unfamiliar with them. I've at least tried most of their games and EQ2 is probably the only game I've played about as much as CoH over the years. Since SOE has been bought out and is now DayBreak Games they seem to have only gotten worse in many ways. My wife has been playing their games almost as long as myself but as of a couple of months ago neither one of us have an active account or are giving them any money. It's a shame because we were both looking forward to seeing what became of EQNext.
