Katana.  Broad Sword just felt like a slow version of Katana/Ninja Blade that did not do enough damage to makeup for the longer cast times.

Which is which again? i remember bs having better damage attacks but katana having better dps. but in the absence of rikti pylons and people who actually go test such things i don't trust my memory.

katana had high accuracy and dps, broadsword had accuracy debuffs and knockback if I am not terribly mistaken. most people tended to take katana for the DPS

They both had defense debuffs. Katana had better dps, broadsword better "burst".

I think you can make a case for BS over katana for PvP, though someone with more PvP experience could speak to it better than I can.

I liked broadsword's customization options much better.

I think katana was better over all, but I liked the hard hitting, crunchy feel of broadsword.

Broadsword for me. DPS might not be as good but prefer the big thunk vs the slicey sound effects.
