This was one of my favorite games way back in C128 days.

Now it is a standalone and an MMO rolled into one. I will be downloading it tonight!

Hmm, I didn't know this was even under development.

I was a major Elite fan back in the old days.

Can't really research it here at work, but I'll have to look into this tonight.

Is it single player or actual MMO?  Open-world PvP (ie Eve)?

It's online only but you can play it solo as well as with others. But still, online only as apparently it turned out to be too complicated for them to implement offline support, even though it was on the table for a while.

I owned Elite for a few systems back in the day - Atari 800, Atari ST, early IBM, I think even NES or some cartridge system.

And they did a version for the old Palm Pilot type computers.

I am sorry to say, its gotten really boring. Just an empty frame of a game. Lots of bugs and things not working.
