I'd turn sound on. The last few years I played, I always kept sound and music off unless I was going to a new place for the first time, or using a new powerset for the first time.

I would have Pandimus stand under Atlas Statue holding his torch high and thank every last one of you, in broadcast, for making logging back on even possible.

If it includes the latter I'd probably roll several new alts, and in all likelyhood even take a few days off from work if I know ahead of time when the re-launch is. =P

If we get all our character data back, I'd revive Al E. Bubba. I'm pretty sure I left him dead on the steps of City Hall on Pinnacle after we blew ourselves up "for the cause" on the Night The Lights Went Out.

If we don't, I start rebuilding. I have my alt list and some screen shots for reference.

Another first thing I'd do, providing we kept our belongings and characters from before, is give away my entire fortune to those of you here in these forums who have helped keep me sane in these difficult times. I never had any problem making inf. I think you'd all get better use out of my billions than I would on my own.

As a word of advice, unless the company is issuing new stocks, buying their stock doesn't technically do a thing to help their bottom line. It does help the personal wealth of the stockholders, amongst whom most executives count themselves, though.

Buying stuff in the game, though? That's the way to help with profits of the game.

That's the point. That's why I said invest. Meaning investing in something and hope to get some returns.

The money spent in game is my part in doing charity work. Money that when spent I dont expect monetary returns. It's gone to a good cause.

Yeah, I definitely will be allotting vacation time to spend on the game. I still remember my first CoH experience. A friend and I shared the game at first, but I didn't have a computer. (It was 2004, I was poor.) He finally offered to sell me his old pile of crap for a couple hundred and he gave the account fully to me (yeah, it was against the EULA, I know) since he was in the beta testing of WoW.

The first night I had the game all to myself in my own home, I took my hero from 18 to a about 25 (mind you, with lots of debt and the old XP scale.) It took me from 6:00 in the afternoon until about 8:00 the next morning, along with 4 Big Slam Mountain Dews and two very large bags of "orange slices" candy. I was so excited to be playing the game I had so longed to play that time was no longer a fixed construct in my mind.

I get the feeling that the re-release (or whatever) will be about like that for me.

And I will definitely be spending quite a bit in the Paragon Market. Mostly Super Packs and the account-bount enhancement sets (am I the only one who uses those?)

If we do get everything back, then I'd go on the market, see what salvage needs to be supplied, and go out salvage hunting at the right level and type.

If we don't get everything back, I'll recreate my characters one by one, level them up slowly, and get back to where I was.

Personally (and this may sound a little bad of me), I'd kind of want to do the second option more than the first.
