I didn't know what to expect when I ran Codewalker's, praise his name, demo but it certainly wasn't what I just saw. As the office just seemed to keep going and around each corner revealed something even more amazing I could feel the smile getting bigger on my face. ;D And then I realized I'd never actually get to have a character walk around such an amazing map. :gonk: But I can't stop thinking about all the different ways I can use this map in demos. :roll: I'm so confused!

You of little faith. Just because you can't go back to playing in the city two weeks after the servers were plugged, you start saying dirty words like "never".

It looks absolutely beautiful, the work that was done on this zone is just... stunning. I mean, even with the similarly styled buildings cropping up, or old pieces interspersed with the new, it's so clearly a work that was going to be a defining moment. It still will be.

I've always said that someday, when I have children, I intend to play City of Heroes with them. Not only spending time together, but sharing it with them and watching them experience the wonder of it for the first time as they explore.

My plans haven't changed.

Heh. It really reminds me a bit of the Wolfram & Hart offices from the 5th season of Angel.

I tried to "play up" the feel of the images I took, for ambience, etc.

They are very nice pics. The only thing I noticed that was missing is a shot of the skylight in Lobby 3 :)

Thanks. I tried to take a picture of it, but felt I couldn't get the right angle.

As for the map itself, I like it. My only complaint is that the use of cubemaps for the windows doesn't quite 'feel' right to me. They look great in screenshots, but when you move around it seems a little fake.

I have an SG base I really want that flame sculpture for also.

That sculpture appears in the main KW zone as well.

Perhaps it was a symbol of importance? That or a nice set piece, at least.

I should mention that there's an area in the office here, with a see through floor, I assume of glass.

Seemed kinda fragile :P

Actually the flame sculpture also appears in Neutropolis, I think. It may be a variation on that one, I haven't looked closely.

Maybe it's just Praetorian decoration, then.

Kallisti Wharf apparently was going to be in Praetoria.
