Freedom Phalanx "reborn"

Well, some of you know that I breed fancy rats, and have done so since '94.

Yesterday, my girl Joule gave birth to her litter, by a buck named Jolt. It occured to me that those are two very super-heroic names (and googling them shows that, indeed, there are comic book superheroes bearing both names.)

So I decided to name the litter after the signature heroes/Freedom Phalanx characters that I liked best.

I'll post pictures when they're big and have fur and are cute (because newborns are totally not cute, LOL) but right now, I'm just pleased to welcome new, squeaky versions of Statesman, Positron, Manticore, Back Alley Brawler, Synapse, Citadel, Numina, Sister Psyche, and War Witch to the world. <3

Awwwwww! And they've already formed their first SG... that's so cute! ;D

I'd so wanna call them Paws-itron and Sister Squeaky though... maybe that's just me? :)

I'm confused... tasty? O.o My avatar is a baby rat with butterfly wings!

And I suspect you're right - Matt Millar and Melissa Bianco will definitely get tweets with pics when "their" babies are big and wide-eyed :)

That's funny, my cats all want nothin' to do with my rats. They're much more likely to be the chased than the chasee, should any togethertime be authorized (Which it generally is not!)

Lookit little Statesman's pics. That first one, dated December 13th. Look how he's all up and proud, supporting his upper body with those little feets! That rat couldn't have been better named.

I can't help but notice while I took pictures today that a lot of them are quite fitting to their names...

Statesman took three perfect pictures. Everyone else needed 10+ to get a good one.

Manticore is terribly willful. He does not like his picture taken.

Synapse was just a blur. The camera didn't like to focus on him.

Brawler is extremely strong for his age. You can feel his muscles already!

Posi is... well. He's plump. Quite plump.

Gonna upload these new pics in a couple hours when I get done with dinner :)
