Hail Heroes!

Although it is not exactly what anyone had in mind, at least the crew at Game Informer i.e: Adam Biessener, kept true to mention City Of Heroes closing but did not go any further than, '' It's Western-developed title City of Heroes had a good run, and Guild Wars and its just-released sequel from Seattle-based ArenaNet have found success, but the company's Korean games have yet to click with Western audiences. ''

Under previews, page 111.
The review is about?
Blade & Soul

Although there is mention it doesn't truly do justice to the cause in my eyes. Also instead of running a CoH focused highlight they went with the upcoming release and have actually played it up leaving behind this closing segment -
'' This looks as likely as anything ever has to finally smash through the Korean-American cultural MMO divide where so many other games have failed. ''

I must admit, good team, that I am actually stumped on this one. The words that rile up inside of me are not that of what should be said. I'll try to get a picture (able to be read) up soon, but for now just know they did make good on their promise to an extent by giving us a moment's notice. It's a nice gesture from Game Informer.

Still an honorable mention is still nice!

Just wanted to share the news.

It's the thought that counts, thanks for trying, Fansy!  :)

Are comments allowed on that?  We could flood the comment section, not only with comments about NCSoft and how they arbitrarily shut down a profitable game, only to roll out the US version of a game that is currently failing (and pulling a TERA) in Korea, but more comments about the misogynistic sex-doll females in Blade and Soul and how NCSoft should be renamed NCSoftcore.
I will go down with this ship.  I won't put my hands up in surrender.  There will be no white flag above my door.  I'm in love, and always will be.  Dido

Based on the fact that the OP mentions a page number, I will assume it is the print version of the mag she/he is discussing.  Though, there might be a 'net version on their site someplace.  *shrug*

Although a better mention of CoH would've been nice, Game magazines are pretty much dying right now.  Their subscription rates are tiny.  More people look at things like online sites and Total Biscuit/Cynical Brit now.

Speaking of which, I've made three attempts to try to get him to give his opinion of CoH's shutdown one way or another (He does mailbox videos where he answers questions sent to him and gives his opinion).  Maybe someone else could write something that'd get his attention, or maybe his attention could be gotten if we sent enough to him.  mailbox@cynicalbrit.com

edit: hrm, wiki says game informer still has a subscription number in the millions.  Thought it was lower than that.  Oh well.
