I'm not sure if anyone has contacted Mashable yet. However, they just posted a piece regardings Gamers raising money to help a fellow gamer. I thought that since this is along similar lines that they may consider picking up this story. I haven't reached out to them personally since I know you guys are trying to coordinate efforts and that there are people here more experienced than I am with regards to the media. So I thought that I would leave their Submit News webpage here if anyone wants to put it to use.

If anyone is not familiar with Mashable here is a little synapses from their website.

Founded in 2005, Mashable is the top source for news in social and digital media, technology and web culture. With more than 40 million monthly pageviews, Mashable is the most prolific news site reporting breaking web news, providing analysis of trends, reviewing new websites and services, and offering social media resources and guides.

Mashable's audience includes early adopters, social media enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, influencers, brands and corporations, marketing, PR and advertising agencies, Web 2.0 aficionados and technology journalists. Mashable is also popular with bloggers as well as Twitter and Facebook users — an increasingly influential demographic.

Thanks!

From the little bit you've posted here, you sound like someone who knows where your towel is. As for others being more experienced...

If you know the Mashable community, your pitch is, by default, 100 times more effective than mine: you'll know what their style and tone is, and what you have to say to try to win them over. You've also taken the time to include context in your post here, so I know you can handle that, too.

Give it a shot. :) Worst case scenario, they file-13 your submission.

Oddly, I have Queen's "I'm Going Slightly Mad" stuck in my head. Not sure what sort of musical free-association my brain is playing, but there it is.
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

Add another one to the spreadsheet; the webcomic Wayward Sons on Keenspot has done a PvP Online-inspired comic supporting City of Heroes and asking people to contact NCSoft to ask for its continuance.

QuoteShe nodded with her own certainty. Yeah. All would become clear to those who did their Duty. That's what Scripture said. You didn't need to clutter up the world with reminders of people you'd be seeing in the City of Heroes. They weren't lost.

I apologize in advance if this has been posted already, but a Redditor is requesting help.

I hate to rain on your parade, but City of Heroes in Erfworld is their version of Heaven.

Granted, the wiki says it might be a reference to the game, and Erfworld references so many things it wouldn't be surprising.  But it's shown up in the comic before.

Has anyone contacted Wil Wheaton? He has a very active blog and he is a gamer, mostly a board gamer though. I am also not sure if her would have legal problems because he is the voice of Robin in DC Online, I believe.

I am not sure how to contact him, his blog gives info on how to contact but you have to code it and I am not sure how to do that. Also, it makes it sound like he does not check it all the time. I would hate to spam his blog with a comment, that seems disrespectful. Any ideas? Maybe he already knows because of Felicia Day, as they are friends.

This posted yesterday.  It's a college paper, but that's one branch of media I actually hoped we'd see sooner. I'm not getting any traction with my college paper to do a piece, and the "social gaming" club is more interested in Magic the Gathering.
