Power Boost affecting powers it shouldn't

I made a build for an Energy/Energy blaster using power boost to boost the defense, among other things. The build looked great with combat jumping, weave, and Scorpion Shield. When I respeced into the build in-game my defense was not where Mid's said it should be. I checked my defense details and power boost does not affect the defense on Scorpion Shield. Is this a bug with Mid's or City of Heroes? Some people on the forums are saying that power boost should not affect powers with Def and Resist in them, can anyone confirm this with frozen armor or personal force field?

It 'should' be affecting defense for 15 seconds like all other toggles but only for the 15 second duration of powerboost. On click powers it lasts the entire duration of the buff itself however. If it is not then I'd guess it's a bug. I don't recall a special rule in place to keep it from buff powers with defense and resistance. It's just not supposed to buff the resistance part.

Some powers are flagged "Unaffected by buffs" and Power Boost does not work on these... Pretty much any power with a resistance component is flagged by this (otherwise, due to the way the game is coded, your damage buffs would increase the resistance values). There are some exceptions: powers where the resistance component cannot be enhanced do not need this (since the flag for preventing enhancement also prevents buffs).

As for this power, I'll need to check it.

The damage resistance part of Scorpion shield can not be enhanced.
