3D Printing

For over a better part of 6 months I have been trying to figure out if 3D printing a character made toon is possible by utilizing the Costume files... I am not exactly tech savvy But I was boucing around the ideas of how CoH as a game reads and translates a costume file for imaging and maybe how that can be used in relation to 3D printing!
If anyone on here who understands any of this can help me I would really appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance!
