The music was a bit much.

Every time I see Dr. Suresh from Heroes I instantly think "villain."

Chunk is crunk.

I wonder if this will be the last season...

Toward the end of last season, there were rumors that Carlos Valdes was leaving. Then, this season, he's still there, but, in the premiere, they introduce another non-Caucasian, off-the-wall tech genius, who, conveniently, will be hanging around for a few weeks. I'm wondering if Carlos is leaving anyway.

Super Firebug

I really have to commend Grant Gustin. After just one or two seasons of playing a role like the Doctor, a superhero, etc., a lot of actors will get impatient with the job, and will want to "get back to doing serious roles". But Gustin seems to be putting as much energy into playing The Flash, and seems to be enjoying it as much, as when he started.

You die, you die in a fire! :p

More seriously I guess I can see it but it made me literally laugh out loud and wake up my cat.

That being said I agree with seeing "Dr. Suresh" but we'll have to see based on what happened in the 2nd episode.

Don't get me wrong..  I laughed, too.  Indeed, I love the song itself.  But good gravy that moment was almost too cheesy to exist.

Flash cheesy factor is not that far below Legends and that's great.  Flash without the cheese is like pizza without the cheese. Despite all the other great ingredients it just doesn't taste right.

Now thanks to your post combined with mine I'm craving pizza with good gravy.  Every Thanksgiving I make the leftovers into pizza with gravy instead of tomato sauce.

Amusing little name drop with "Marv Perez"...

I think this season is better than last season in my opinion. At least we don't have to deal with Nora anymore thank god.

it doesn't help that..he did the exact same thing that Suresh did in Heroes.

BTW i know several folks gave up on arrow but it's where most of the actual crisis work is getting done. and last couple seasons it's been less terrible than flash, which is faint praise, but still.

Honestly, I thought it was done.  The end of last season seemed pretty final.  I figured all that was left for Arrow was for Ollie to show up in the Crisis.

It's a very abbreviated season.  They're setting up Crisis as the series finale.

It hasn't been quite as meh as Arrow has been the past few years. There is no Felicity in it at all so far.

Man I was jealous that I was missing ... everything.

There's a ton of comic book TV shows out!

Iron Fist started out as my favorite (wow what a good start) and now I think it has to be The Flash.

Jessica Jones seems good (I'm only a few episodes in). Luke Cage seems good. Defenders was good..

I never got into Arrow.. I wanted to like Arrow. I like Green Arrow - I like nearly all the old school comic book heroes. But. Humm. Yeah. He's good in The Flash, though! And then I tried his series.. Maybe it just needs to mature. I'll probably try it again. It'd probably be way better if I wasn't a hetero male  - it seemed like a chick show in the little I could bear to watch. I'll try it again.

One of the best things about Flash, besides the DC cheese, is the Villains... So.. many.. good.. Villains!

Anyway, yay. I'm catching up on my TV comic book goodness. Finally. I'm still on Season 2, Episode 6 of the Flash and it just keeps getting better. I made it about that far with Iron Fist and I saw all of what there was of the Defenders which was pretty darn good. I'm only a few episodes in on Jessica Jones and Luke Cage - they're entertaining, likeable, and Super - plenty to keep me watching. Daredevil....was kinda good in Defenders but I haven't checked out his series yet and will. I actually liked the Ben Affleck Daredevil kinda a lot ('See that light at the end of the tunnel..? That's not Heaven..').. So I can't be *that* hard to please.

So far, Flash has the crown. It doesn't get too heavy but yet can get a little complicated and twisted, and, ... it has those great and many Villains.

I'm not on Season 6 yet, but now it's your turn to be jealous of me...because... I'm not even on Season 3 and also have a plethora of other SuperHeroeness to catch up on, too. Wow, I never saw so much Superhero stuff available to watch as there is now and so far it seems fairly decent to pretty good.

TV must have changed since I watched it last, too... It seems more graphic in language and action and I think I've seen every superhero have or attempt to have (Flash..lol) sex so far in a lil more graphic detail than I'm used to on TV.

If you like DC cheese, then Legends of Tomorrow is the best of the lot, I'd say.

If you like DC cheese

Too much of anything is usually bad but a small amount of DC's ... less gritty/kinda nerdy take on comics is welcome. Too much grit isn't so great, either. Iron Fist was getting downright gory/horrorshow there for awhile, for example.

I'm glad I got to see Hawkchick get semi-introduced in Flash before watching Legends! Now I have seen everyone get introduced already (edit: hummm except Hawkman, but, I had been thinking Hawkman when I first saw Hawkgurl in Cisco's dream in Flash.) who's in the first episode of Legends of Tomorrow, which, grew on me as it went on. I had a lot of Flash comics as a kid and I read plenty of Hawkman in the comics but I can't remember Hawkgurl *shrug*. Anyway, yeah, the first episode of Legends is pretty good. I'd had it on my list of stuff to watch just hadn't gotten around to watching any of it yet. Agents of Shield is down lower on that list. And there's some movies to catch up on, like, Superman Returns, Supergurl, The 'new' Thor, Spider man III... Yeah, I'm a lil behind. Been fun catching up. Overall the shows I've watched so far seem pretty well made - especially for being TV shows about superheroes.

If you weren't familiar with Hawkgirl I have to assume you completely missed out on the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited animated series.  The various Timmverse DC animated series are arguably the best screen versions of the DC Universe.

I remember Justice League of America, from, like... the early 70's? And I remember Hawkman in the comics but he was always just kinda there. I can't remember getting any actual Hawkman comics but I might have. I had lots of #1's and worked in my parents fish store after school that was next to a place that sold comic books which I bought many of and I bought (I forget the name of them) books that said how much my books were worth - at the time, they were literally doubling in value for a couple of years or so in a row and then my collection got stolen and I never bought another comic or looked at prices. For my memory (remembering this much about it), this is pretty good.

I'll check out the new (?) Justice League incarnations. Always liked Justice League, although, in the department of cheese, I remember them being pretty ultra cheesy next to the 'real' thing. But still, hey, there wasn't much comic book TV so it was a must see.

I actually don't think about my comics much anymore and so, ya know, ya forget stuff. It's really great having so much good stuff to watch now, though. Go go Netflix.

~~

OK so I IMDB'd Justice League and see a ton more stuff I didn't know about. I did see Aquaman mentioned here, before, for example, but had forgotten about it.

There must have been some major superhero craze that started ~ the time I.. fell in a well. I never remember seeing so much superhero stuff to watch.
