Bio armor not giving resistance in pvp zones

I am unable to log on at this time due to the server being down so I cannot show a picture of my resist stats while in a pvp zone.  However, I have gone into the pvp zone and Hardened Carapace is not giving me the resistance to Lethal, Smashing, and Toxic like the tooltip says its supposed to do.
