Gotham's final season.

I'm catching up on this final season.  The show has had its highs and lows (some very very low) throughout its run but I'm going to miss it.  Bruce is obnoxious but the show has done exceptionally at creating the other characters.

Gordon: The best live action version for one very important reason. The fact that he went through all this stuff totally justifies why a police commissioner would trust a vigilante over his own department.

Penguin, Catwoman, Mad Hatter, Alfred. For the first time they are developed characters rather than just somebody being used as a prop for the characters gimmick.  Catwoman and Riddler are a bit weak but they aren't the final characters. They are a work in progress and you can see how they can get to the final characters.

Joker. Absolutely superb.  A great balance between Hamill's and Ledger's versions.

Victor Zsasz. Don't ever bother casting another version.

And of course Donal Logue is a national treasure.

BD Wong does a great job as Hugo Strange.

I still don't like it but I think if the show had been from the beginning like it's been since the cancellation was announced it might not have been cancelled.
Spoiler for Hidden:
It's weird that they keep introducing villains just to kill them the same episode though.

saipaman

Isn't the cancellation the result of inter-company politics?

Vee

Idk, maybe. Though i remember it being on cancellation watch from at least the second season.

Wow they really went for the

thing. I guess it was their last chance to top themselves for stupidity.

Yeah, this last episode was as badly written and directed as any in the entire series.  A definite letdown after tying up the Joker story.  So this episode was written by Ben McKenzie and directed by Erin Richards.  I suppose with it being the last season they felt they needed to let their stars run amok in the playpen.  Ben's other writing credit was The Demon's Head, which was another bad episode.  Stick to acting Gordon.

Vee

Doh, thought that was the last one but i guess there's one on the 21st. Every time i think i'm out....

Vee

Ok now I'm out. Yay.

I remember Jamie Murray being a way better actress than that on Hustle. She was just terrible.

Mandu

Final episode Thursday. It's a 10 year flash forward.

Vee

this is the third time i've thought it was the final one. fingers crossed this time

Ulysses Dare

Well that was a whole lot of nothin'. :P

HalcyonS

Yeah, that sums it up pretty well.

Vee

Not necessarily. They are talking about a Catwoman spinoff which would take place in the 10 years Bruce was gone.
