Making it a half hour comedy with a female Indian American lead.

I am a huge fan of the original so I will give it a shot.

The article never mentions they tried this before with 'Greatest American Heroine' after the original was cancelled.

Though won't be as good I am sure as the dynamic between Ralph and Bill.

Well I they did a pilot but it didn't actually ever even air from what I remember right?

Mandu

It was aired but as an episode of the original series in syndication.

Its on DVD. Season 1 or the full season set.

Its ok for what they tried to do.

My only issue with this is I'm not sure it'll work as a 1/2 hour show.

We'll see.

I expect they'll turn it into some kind of sitcom, bereft (or nearly so) of the comedy action capers it really needs.
When you insult someone by calling them a "pig" or a "dog" you aren't maligning pigs and dogs everywhere.  The same is true of any term used as an insult.

I made a "Mr. H" tank for COH. Real skinny guy and small with the blond hair and the red suit but could kick butt.

If we assume she also gets a book and loses it, its probably because she gets drunk.

I just started watching my DVD's again after reading this and for me the show is just as good as fun as it was back in the 80's.

Only gripe is that had to change songs because they were too cheap to pay for the home video rights for the songs.

That was always one of the best parts.

I also hope to God its not a sitcom with a laugh track.

Also, rather than a re-boot it should be a "sequel"

But, that's just IMO.

Yeah. Katt is still around. If they ignore the Heroine pilot they could do the same idea and he has to hand over the suit.

I am not thrilled over the format - but I will at least watch the first few episodes.

I really cant see how they will do stories where she has to 'save the world' like they did in the original if its a comedy-sitcom type show.

For me though it wasn't much the suit and the super hero stuff as the play between Bill and Ralph.

Bill Maxwell was a fun character and very funny while being the 'straight man' of the group.

Like in the pilot where he confronts Ralph and he tells him he lost the book. After Ralph leaves Bill mutters to himself "Try not to lose the suit."

Or the big speech he gives when he finally sees what Ralph can do with the suit.
