Justice had one or two Hamis a week, on a schedule. Those raids were always fast to set up and fast to complete. Occasionally there was a PUG Hami, but we had enough people that they didn't usually take very long to set up (and people typically loved the break in Incarnate Trial monotony), and Justice was always fast to complete. Near the end, we didn't even have to have a full zone to start/complete, so when we felt we had enough fire power, we got underway and as we went through things, the zone would fill up. Not much cat herding. NBD. Justice was Hami-Pro. ;)

been unable to get on titan for a few days, proxy too slow and kept getting "Secure Connection Failed" because while in china every time you send a request to connect to an internet enabled address that is not on their white or black list they auto reset your connection to a monitoring server which doesn't support encryption cause then the server can't see what your doing. Just so happens these monitoring servers are on dedicated spam hosting servers. if you visit sites not on their white list enough they mark your internet connection to have the spam server as your DNS. (my DNS here is a confirmed Spam server, it wasn't when I first got there.)

at least that's what I'm guessing based on what I've dealt with.

OK CoH stuff, I can power level myself without help, there are some tricks to it, look out for my "Mega XP Milking" AE missions when the game goes live again, I'll have to fine tune them again but I still have the main AE mission file.

speaking of AE missions, HEY CODEWALKER! would it be possible to make a new version of Icon that supports the AE mission making window? you know just so we can craft mission files in a graphical environment.

China can't figure out how to setup a man in the middle for their universal proxies?  My employer does that so we get the cert for the proxy whenever we visit a tls encrypted site.  Can easily see it as the cert identifies itself as from the device in the middle.  Communication is still encrypted but the end point as far as the server is concerned is the proxy server and not your machine.

I don't need to. People figured out ages ago that you can access the AE mission editor in Icon using the /access_level command and some other command that I don't remember off the top of my head.

Or you can use Paragon Chat, in which the editor can be accessed normally by clicking on the terminal in the AE building. Paragon Chat also supports running in offline single-player mode where it does not need to connect to the XMPP server.

Hami raids had no badges associated with them.  And "died out" is a relative term.  Infrequent, sure, but if you watched the proper global channels they did still get run (maybe not the case for all servers but definitely some of them, my home Pinnacle included).

there was an exploration badge under its butt. ok, so maybe only triumph quit running them often. still, lrsf = get your worthless centriole in 15 minutes.

That was a zone exploration badge, and unlike Unabashed in RWZ you could get it without triggering a raid.

Worthless centriole was perfect for cosmic burst

Head of the Hydra was much harder to get.

I got that one by falling stunned onto the Hydra... and lived ;)

Yay for Group Invisibility not dropping when you're mezzed, and boo for Rikti Drones seeing through it and having a small chance to stun on their blasts.

HA

Tell that to my Nrg/Nrg Blaster that uses those worthless Centrioles to Outdistance everything in the game except for Nemesis Bosses and Rikti Drones.

or my Rad Blasters and Defenders that use them to extend the range of Cosmic Burst

or my AR/Nrg that uses them to extend the range and increase the cone of Buckshot and Flamethrower.

or my Elec/Elec who uses it in Static Discharge..

or my Crab Spider because it works WONDERS in Heavy Burst and Surpressive Fire...

so not worthless to everyone....

YUP Justice was definitely one of the better servers for Hami-raids.. The old Hami Raids Justice had one every night..

Usually tried to find room for one Centriole in sniper or cone blasts. When you extend the range of a cone blast you increase the "sweet" spot of the widest part of the cone (the end).

On second builds my sniper blasts were usually one acc/dmg, two dmg/rng

I meant worthless in that they were basically free on the market and everyone had a dozen or so sitting around in their base. I eventually left one in my base and vendored the rest of mine as I knew I couldn't go a week without 2 dropping.

The last two years of CoH I had a storage bin with 100 hamis that I never touched. It was like a museum wing. Next to it I think I had another 40 with some nifty low level Steadfast, KB resist IOs, numi uniques etc.

I think I called it my Mids Soon(tm) Wing. I even think I had a bin with just stuff that increased run speed for a goofy second build on a Stone tanker but never liked the power set enough to go through with it.

On the test server I think I jacked up a DB/SR scrapper with run speed but had no travel outside if combat jumping.

Multiple Microfiliments in Sprint and Swift?  Check.

There were a few powers that a centriole or two could be a godsend.
I loved added range on Frost from Ice Melee. It really changed that power when you could count on it to get the second layer of baddies.

Also Throw Spines and Shockwave both were much better when fitted for some range.
Cogito, Ergo... eh?

You know, I've watched this every year around Christmas time, and never noticed till now that a couple of my heroes are in there.  Sort of like a little Christmas-present "Easter egg".

And the ending still makes me cry a little.

You suck so bad!  I'm a 52-year-old man and I'm bawling like a baby.  Jeez, to be able to go back in time... my dad was still alive as was my friend, Eric (Judge Fear on Infinity).  What an amazing time.  My wife, my kids and I miss CoH so much.
If I was a Jedi, there's a 100% chance that I'd use The Force inappropriately.
