I wish I could say otherwise. But I'm not really surprised at all. I feel no satisfaction in saying so, but I called it pretty much immediately when they sacked Kari, Tori and Grant. I knew then that there were only 1 or at most 2 more years left.

Hell of a run, though. 14 years for ANY TV show is good. In fact - in this day and age? Almost... dare I say it?

Mythical.
"I've never believed in the End Times. We are mankind. Our footprints are on the moon. When the last trumpet sounds and the Beast rises from the pit — we will KILL it."
— Gen. Stacker Pentecost

It ended for me years ago.  When new episodes were inconsistently released, and most of the time when they finally came out the "new" episode turned out to be some variety of clip show.
When you insult someone by calling them a "pig" or a "dog" you aren't maligning pigs and dogs everywhere.  The same is true of any term used as an insult.

My kid loves that show.  'Dad, it's time for SCENCE!'

Ah well, at least we'll have reruns.
