I loved the summer blockbuster, probably my fav. I said over a year ago they should run all of them to make up for lost time. Not holding my breath for anything at this point. I still see no reason to think there's anything positive coming...

I just like the proc IO of that set. Making stuff KU instead of KB makes the game more fun.

hmm... page 1000 and still no City. But maybe later today  ;)

Basically 1000 pages of nothing.

Not a 1000 pages of nothing, I see it as a 1000 pages of friendship :D
One day the Phoenix will rise again.

1000 pages of nothing beats nothing hands down.

A thousand pages of kickin' bass and takin' names.
Also, page 1000! Woot!

In honor of this most joyous occasion...
I will take this opportunity to announce a special, exclusive piece of information regarding Revival.

Revival...may, or may not... have potentially maybe possibly something related to having fun in the game. I can't confirm it at this time... but the ability to have fun may potentially be in the game.

Also, at some point a few days ago, this thread broke a million views. I remember it being just under a million early last week. Didn't remember to keep an eye on it so I could post at the time. Oops.

If I was a Jedi, there's a 100% chance that I'd use The Force inappropriately.

Really wishing for some good news now. This page is a milestone of patient waiting in anticipation.

And not-so-patient waiting. I keep logging in, seeing that there's still just the one reply to the "Wake me" sticky, and thinking, "Aw, come on, STILL nothing yet?"

Aaaand now I have the chorus from Tom Petty's "The Waiting (Is The Hardest Part)" stuck in my head.

new and positive conspiracy theory;

NCSoft and the THeM agreed to have one meeting about /US/ out of NDA, aka what they could tell us and when without violating the NDA.

in the meeting they agreed that the first post on the 1000nth page of this thread would determine what they say based on content, if the topic is still about us people who are anxiously waiting for the return of CoX then they would release /A Statement/, however if it devolved into an "oh well I give up, I'm playing starwars and blah blah" then they'd decide there was no urgency to release anything yet as we seem entertained for the time being and can wait for another thousand pages or until it's released.

because the meeting was out of NDA they were able to leak this posibility to us, however "indirectly" so they fed it to us through an anon/new account or through someone they could trust to deliver the notion.

Joshex, please just stop. I'm like || this close to giving you a timeout. Don't make me banhammer.

Also: no one would trust you to deliver anything that needed to be believed. I'm just sayin'.

never said it was me, I forget who the first person was that came up with the 1000 page /something/ theory. I'm just stringing it along.

Similar to the fact that, for the past 2,000 years or so, people have believed that the prophesied end of the world would happen at the turn of the next century/millennium, just because it's a nice, even, rounded-off number.

Ah, round numbers and sawed off shotguns... They don't perform as well as you would think, but they sure look bad@$$.

Super Firebug

And, of course, there'll be the inevitable speculation about a deal announcement being saved for the shutdown's third anniversary, coming up at the end of next month.

I like Josh Randall's sawed-off Winchester rifle on "Wanted: Dead or Alive", myself. It's referred to online as a "mare's leg", but my mom always called it a "hog's leg". (Doesn't have much of anything to do with anything, but I'm currently re-watching the series on DVD, and your comment brought it to mind.)

Regrettably, I've had to accept that I'll have to wait at least another year to use Freezing Rain during Trick or Treat (that never stopped being entertaining). But at least the ski chalet is open in Paragon Chat, so we can have some little bit of winter event.

(Sorry about the non sequitur; my thoughts and memories of CoH seem to be going stream-of-consciousness.)

I'm really looking forward to doing one of my favorite CoX things again while soloing my AR/Dev blaster: setting up a stack of 16 trip mines behind a pillar or doorway, getting an elite boss' attention with a Sniper Rifle shot, ducking out of line of sight to lure the EB onto the mines, and finishing the EB off as necessary after the mines go boom. I really miss that.
