Hey there, new efforts people.  Eagerly awaiting any news, of course, but for now, happy Easter.  :)

Happy belated Easter, just so happens they put one of my essay deadlines as the day after easter so yesterday I was cramming to get it done.

Oh well indeed happy passover too, yesterday I made lamb steaks, oxtail soup and we had beef dumplings. meat, meat and more meat. I didn't even plan for it lol, forgot it was Easter till I was done cooking.

After finishing that essay I have major CoX withdrawals wanted to go celebrate finishing the essay by doing a GM run and playing all the content over from lv 1.

To tell the truth, it's April now, I'm beginning to get worried, I projected The NCSoft execs would be back to work by march, I suppose one month isn't much time to get work done, and typically entertainment releases are in the summer or fall.

I'm so tempted to email someone there or send in one of my spies to gather information. emails would just annoy, lets not do that. So spies it is.
There is always another way. But it might not work exactly like you may desire.

You are making the assumption that it is NCSoft causing the delay. We have no information and so all of the observations are just supposition.

What if the main deal is complete but the team building the server is taking a while to get it done? Would you buy a game that you couldn't prove was able to run? I keep saying to people that there are a LOT of moving parts in this deal. You have the IP, the game image, the future leasing and all of them done by different teams.

Nate and Irish Girl want to lease the IP, another team wants to run the classic server. So many people are slinging time lines and when they thought it should be done - what should be done? Which part? I would not be surprised in the least if everything is complete except getting the image up and running. My main point is we don't know why it is taking so long and are projecting our dislike of NCSoft onto the situation.

yeah I kinda assumed it was technical stuff, I wont be gunning for deadlines or anything like that just whatever they feel able to tell us or when they suspect we will be able to hear "something".

I actually don't see NCSoft as a bad guy any more, I see them as a middleman that falls victim to financial constraints set by investors.

So what you're saying is the deal confirmed, and the CoX relaunch is to be expected soon?

Ironwolf

No, lol - I am saying we don't know what the problems are, what the solutions are or what the time line is.

I can only use a thing I heard from the president of Chrysler motors say - those who don't know say and those who do know can't say.

I can't really see any corporation letting some random person walk in and get answers about a minor negotiation that's under an NDA anyways.
I used CIT before they even joined the Titan network! But then I left for a long ol' time, and came back. Now I edit the wiki.

Its so out of the ordinary, if someone tried to pull that off on me I might actually let them into a conference room just so I could observe them for a while, like I would something at the zoo.

Would this also involve a tranquilizer dart? Or just coffee and donuts?

I don't see those as mutually exclusive options, but your place of employment may vary.  ;)

I wouldn't feel too bad about it, not everyone can be right 100% of the time.

They are exclusive, I'm afraid. As we found out when someone faceplanted directly into a stack of jelly-filled donuts.

Although, maybe going coffee and donuts FIRST, and only then with the tranquilizers, may be workable.

many hackers use that very method to get basic access to the corp network often claiming to be from IT and need their passwords to fix a problem with their accounts.

A lady I knew who worked at Microsoft told me once that if you ask to see Mr. Gates, they would lead you to a conference room, tell you he would be with you shortly, then call the police and charge you with tresspassing.

Ah, yes, the "social engineering" technique.  Works better in large offices.  At like a dozen people here, it would be amusing to watch someone try that at my office (especially since I am essentially the on-site IT department for a company this size).
