Remember, the auto-refreshing one?  I liked that.

You know what might be neat ... if it made a little blip sound when one of your friends logged in ... oh man ...

Voltaic Shock

We plan to bring that in next with the badge tracking enabled too.

I like the sound thing too.

Oh, all these old features are definitely coming back!  I like these threads though because it lets me know what the "most wanted" features are :)

I don't know whether to be scared or laugh hysterically at that LOL!

SuckerPunch

I think I'll make it the sound of a baby crying.

:D

Tazhyngarth

That'd be a perfect way to get everyones attention, not a bad idea in that aspect lol.  Just totally wrong, but that's another story! ;)

How feasible would it be to give users the option of loading a custom sound into the application?

We could have it so they could point it to a sound file on their computer.  Not sure we want to do this though.

I understand you do not want to really go that route, but just think of all the cool and inappropriate sounds we can use.  Better yet do not think about it and you'll sleep better.

Events sound tab could be used to link sound files to specific events like, friends leaving and arriving, badge earning, ect or just set it to use the default event sounds of the OS.

I have to play with the sound off most of the time, so it would not be useful to me.

Voltaic Shock

We could make it have default sounds and then you could overwrite that sound with your own.

Would that work?

To be honest, making that friends window play sounds and stuff would be extremely low priority.  I don't believe many people use that page to begin with, let alone would want it to make noises at them.

It might be an opt-in type thing later on, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it.

Shorts

Ehm. All I wanted to say with my, ahem, rather weird post, is that if sound notification is added I want it to be an option.

Hmm, maybe I just should have said it just like that. But then I would've missed the interesting reactions and the ensuing discussion. Nah, I'll stand by my post.  ;D

It will be an option once we figure out if this will go into TNT.

Sanity is optional.

It appears Shorts opted out.  ;D

Then again, I've been reported as having done so as well.

Artax:  What happened?

Yeagar:  He didn't have the allergy to sharp metal I usually exploit in my opponents.

Shorts

Dang it! You mean I had a choice in the matter? :o

Well, I had one of those days.
