I was able to keep Ghost Widow confused during the States TF - it was quite fun watching her use the super hold on the other AVs.

ToHit affected all of your attacks, and Accuracy affected just the attack that it was slotted in.

Thanks muchly! that does shed some light on the subject.

I suspect Paragon Wiki might help, but I'm not sure

it does help somewhat thanks.

Amplifying Super Firebug's post:

Everything in CoH had a base chance to hit value, which was that entity's base chance to hit a target by default (for players, this was 75%).  The target's Defense subtracted from that, so it was logical that attackers be given a way to increase that; thus, tohit buffs.

These apply to all attacks.  But what if you want to make an individual attack more accurate (likely to hit) than the average attack for a given attacker?  Hypothetically speaking, you could have designed City of Heroes with a "tohit bonus" on attacks that would apply only to that attack, but the designers decided instead that they wanted this effect to be proportional: this attack hits twice as often on average, so its overall effect is to be a 2x multiplier.  Thus: accuracy buffs.

The one you *need* is the multiplicative one.  Without it, you can't reasonably have defense as a player skill except as a toy feature.  The one you don't need, but is logical to have, is the additive one: something that acts as the inverse of defense.

Very detailed indeed, and was helpful, I will re-think/recheck some statistics I've written out to see if they are workable.

There is always another way. But it might not work exactly like you may desire.

we did an all Ill ITF. Imperious killed his own nictus

I dual-boxed an ITF with a Mind Dom and an Energy Blaster.  Mind Doms were practically a cheat-code.

I was part of a team that did that. We kind of did it as a last resort, but we couldn't get passed the nictus without confusing... not Imperious... Romulus aka Rommy Britches

I think he prefers to be called Nictus now.

Been ages since I actually posted on here. Been checking in every so often to see news updates. A year after CoX shut down and I'm still getting dreams of superjumping around Paragon City.  :o

Anyways, read through the CoX art collection. Arachnos were badass.  ;D

QuoteDon't get me wrong, I only meant mandatory for me. I am really itching to get 2 of my characters IO'd out and then Incarnated. I've been thinking about both for a long time now and I want to prove to myself that they can be as good as I think they can be.
Both are defenders and I know teams will absolutely love them (Time/Ice and Naff/DP).

And I would probably only really do some farming after I spent some serious time with the general leveling up approach.

I think both can be competent farmers in the high levels... ain't I strange.

That's one of the many great things about CoH though, if you tinkered with a build enough. You could do almost anything with anything.

I've meet a few amazing farmers that used Defenders, one was an kin/ice and I can't remember what the other one was. Then even if your character wasn't all that great, if you got the States Man farm, it didn't matter. He did all the farming for you as long as you could keep him alive.

CoH had everything LOL! The more I think back on the game, the more I realize how much it had to offer.

At least he quickly landed on his feet with new employment.

I hear his bed buddy Requiem came up with this plan after, in their more intimate conversations; hearing how much Romulus talked about all the things he'd like to do to goats. of course society would never accept such things Like Goat Dance Classes, and racy goat and ass pictures, so the goat simulator was an outlet.

Side-note; Mmm goat Vindaloo.

I loved Goat MMO Simulator :).  Love how the first quest calls you a mary sue, and how everything is just a big shot at quests in mmorpgs and how stupid they often are :).  Especially McSlowpants and dragging that stupid guys butt all the way to the bar he wants to go to :).
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

I like that.  Once I saw a Thug MM named Ted Healy and his goons were all named after the three Stooges.

Be nice to have a Three Stooges power set complete with pie throwing and eye pokes
That would be hilarious.   Saw that suggested on the old boards once.

Loving all the confuse stories.   Loved that power.  I would even confuse Sky Raider Force Field Generators.

Yes, for me in order to enjoy the game you need resources. Resources include IOs, Prestige to make a base, etc. I'm the type that likes to have all end of game IOs ready before making a new character. Plus farming is relaxing for me. Doing the same repetitive motions and get resources from it with little to no effort just smooths my mind. You can say its like making a rock garden gives a person zen xD
Oh yeah...my base.   Damn...took me forever to build up enough prestige to build that thing solo.   The lowering of the prices helped a lot.

It's clearly the beta version of Dragon's Tail.

On an unrelated note, help me out here, what shall I level first? Warshade, STJ/Energy Stalker, Night widow, or Crab spider?

Won't you have to have a level 50 to unlock the Arachnos soldier?

Sounds like you are stuck with the Stalker. Fun toon though. Mine was a STJ/Ninjitsu stalker and that combo was very fun.
