I'm in the "I'm just grateful" club.  I'm sure if the deal goes through everything won't be perfect, but I'll be flying the Paragon skies once again.  That's good enough for me.  So a huge thanks to anyone who has any part in trying to get our game back.

After reading about the poor behavior of Some People and thinking of how NCSoft must perceive us collectively I have to wonder if we deserve to have this game back.  What makes us worthy of the work and money The Buyers have invested in this effort?  What makes us worthy of the grief Ironwolf has endured?  The very least we can do is Be Grateful for whatever they have done/are doing/will do and don't whine.  It is what it is, it ain't what it ain't.  If the game does come back nobody is forcing you to play it.  In fact, I would prefer you didn't.

I have kept quiet for some time...But Enough...is Enough. TonyV and Robert Both have the same Desire. To see the game brought back. This much is Clear. For TonyV to stir the pot and cause problems for Robert is Childish, and down right Petty. For those of you who may Bash Robert, Threaten, Name call, or whatever, Your just as childish, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

In the Major scheme of things, ALL of us here have the same Exact wish...To run the streets in Atlas Park...So why act like 3rd world country thugs? Robert had the best intentions...And was trying to give everyone something to look forward to. He and TonyV BOTH know the Hail Mary team...And i am sensing Tony ...for whatever reason, wants to prove some sort of point, and try to get the announcement cancelled...Stop acting like the Thugs we defeated in AP...Grow up...If your 15 and under, and lack self control, or the ability to censor your words, Dont say anything at all. This isnt for drama...Its for Unity...

I don't understand why death threats were being tossed around in the first place. I've been following the effort since the early pages but I feel like I missed something offsite. Whatever it was, I doubt it's enough to warrant any kind of threats.

Hello all, I have been out of this weekend. I went for some pain block shots on my lower back Friday, much needed, and have been recovering from the after-effects of the anesthesia. Anyway, I just saw some posts concerning a "Big Announcement". I also see a lot of negative posts concerning it. Why??
The bottom line is if this attempt fails, there are OTHER groups waiting to try.  Let's face facts. As of right now, today, it has been TWO YEARS since they announced the sunset was coming and did so on Nov. 30th.
That being said..We have NO City of Heroes! Why point figures that this one did this and that one did this. When the original announcement of the sunset was made, all efforts to keep the game alive and running were made by people with the sole intention of doing just that! I can't believe I'm seeing people blaming other people for the failure to keep it up and running.
This is the situation. A group is in position and negotiating. Let's put all our energy,and make it positive energy, and SUPPORT this effort.  We're all in the same boat here. Stop rocking it and let's have some smooth sailing. If an announcement comes today okay. if not, just wait for it to come. Go about whatever you were doing before you heard about all this and if it happens- Fantastic! If not, well maybe something happened and there was a hold up in the plans. There will be more efforts if this one fails.

um......What?  I think you are barking at the wrong crowd Sir or Miss.  TonyV was never more then level headed.  I can't speak for everyone else but I don't hate Robert, and I don't think people on these boards were the ones to threaten him.  Or at least 98% of us aren't to blame.  Robert may have jumped the gun by saying either they would announce something on Monday or that he would.  But that doesn't mean he deserves to be threatened.

As far as I know, Robert has had literally 0% involvement in this besides his post a few days ago.

I think you are forgetting who started this entire thing and has been at the helm of keeping people informed.. IronWolf... not TonyV or Robert.
Robert's involvement in Team Hail Mary was so minimal it's not even worthy of a citation in the history of CoH revival.

I completely understand why all of the nay saying is so frustrating.  Most of the folks here, I think, appreciate both your efforts to get the ball rolling and the new team's efforts to relaunch our favorite game.  Just remember in your posts to not take the bait and feed the unicorns.  They like it, and all you get in return is high blood pressure!

I am curios if anyone knows what the "Top Secret" project that Cryptic Studios is working on? If you go here: http://crypticstudios.com/in_development it says they are working on a secret project. I'm not suggesting that Cryptic has anything to do with buying COH, but curiosity got the better of me. Anyone know what it is?

I don't think it's COX related, but I am hopeful that something is coming out aside from the port of Neverwinter to the Xbox One. I do like Champions Online and Neverwinter (not had much luck with STO but I will say it gets consistently better every time I try it). Cryptic allows crossgame chat channels which is something I find very handy. :D

Switfy generally speaking we are over the drama here.  We just want our game back.  Robert's problems are caused by him self.  TonyV actually was trying to warn him more then anything and let him know he was jumping the gun.  But believe most of us hardly want Robert to suffer or be threatened.  Most of us aren't even mad at NCSoft anymore.

Robert was telling Ironwolf he was basically a troll and a liar until recently.  Ironwolf started this back in March, he is the one who has been dealing with 1000's of angry, or anxious fans along with TonyV.  I don't have facebook but for the sake of fairness I will assume that Robert has acted as CoH Survivors TonyV in the sense he brought everyone together and gives them a place to rally which is great I am happy there are so many of us out there.  But Robert, from what I know, has had little to no involvement in these  particular efforts to get the game bought.

I just went to Cryptic's CoH page, looks like it could use an update: "Cryptic Studios' first title was also the first AAA MMO on the market. City of Heroes still operates today and is published by NCsoft, with development duties handled by Paragon."

Most of the fans of CoH are not engaged in this behavior. Only a small fraction of the CoH fanbase ever posted here, or on any forum. Fewer still harrassed Ironwolf, Tony, Robert, etc.

Do not let the actions of a few affect the many. These people want to bring the game back. Many of us have done nothing but chime in support, and maybe we should have done more to be helpful at the right times... but we don't deserve to be lumped in with those who have actively caused harm to others.

I hope the game will come back, because there we will again see what the CoH community is made of. Helpful, friendly people who just want everyone to have a good time while feeling like awesome heroes.
