The whole space-ship crash thing is making more sense now. It was due to the navigator pounding his keyboard after getting Rikti rolled.

Since the team is (presumably) based in the US and/or Europe, I've never had any reason to anticipate any action from them to us based on South Korea time.

That said, it's now 8:30AM US Central Daylight Time, and there has been no announcement! I knew it was all a lie!

Dont expect account info to be restored.  I doubt either the buyers or NCSoft want to deal with that headache.  Just imagine the inevitable clams of "I didnt get all my stuff back"  - who then deals with this?  The new or old owners?  Neither wants to.  If for some reason the account info is incomplete that will prevent it from ever being part of the deal.

More important than old account info IMO is how the game will be priced/monetized post relaunch.  I think any new owners need to be careful and reasonable here.  When restarted most of the player base will have already sunk a fair amount of change into CoH.  Box copies, subscriptions, a la carte purchases, etc.  Add to that the fact that almost certainly all character data is gone, so returnees have to start from scratch.  Also the game, despite being well loved by its committed fans, is getting a bit long in the tooth.  To attract new players and retunees the game will have to be realistically priced.

Initial repurchase, monthly VIP sub, in-game store prices etc will all have to be scaled to meet the market. 

Personally, from the end of beta on, counting game purchase and months of subscription I guess I put a couple hundred of dollars into CoH.  Im sure there are CoH vets who have spent much more.  New owners need to be aware of this and price accordingly.

Probably far more then a couple hundred bucks (pounds) here... I will pay a fair price to re-buy the game... Say up to about $20 or so.  I would also pay a fair price to re-buy all the existing vet rewards and store items I already had, and the only real way to do that is to offer a bulk buy option in the store.  Say maybe as much as $40 for a limited time?

That's what I think (if anything happens, since things can get delayed). I hope we are wrong and it is an announcement for the success, but I'm not getting too crazy hopeful on that.

"Hope for the best, but don't expect anything" is probably the soundest way to approach the whole situation. I'd be as happy as anyone to see the game back up and running, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too much. That's just too likely to lead to bitter disappointment.
