Can anyone help me come up with a new name?

My main on both COH and currently CO is known as Shadow.  Original?  Not quite.

But his quirk is that he controls shadows, teleports through them, controls them, etc.  He's also quite young so I always gave him a pass.

But as I am unlikely to get 'Shadow' as a straight up name...

Baring the fact that I don't like the english synonyms off the word, I want to keep my options open.

He basically takes the form of a natural lion. That is he's not really anthropomorphized.  He uses technology to communicate and if he stands on two legs it's because he has an augmented battle armored jumpsuit.

He was, as a child, infused with essentially dark miasma which merged with the soul of an ancient spirit guardian beast named Orion who took the form of an massive white lion which is what Shadow's body turned into once the darkness and Orion merged inside him.

Aside from that he's just some poor kid from St Martial who gets into too much trouble for his own good.

Any thoughts?

Honestly I just want something better than "Shadow Reaper" if COH comes back.

Could he be Latino?  Oscuridad means darkness, and Sombra is shadow.  For a male, you could go Sombro or even El Sombro.  If other languages aren't cool with you, may I suggest going with a two word mash up?

What sort of a name are you looking for?  English, not English, multiple words used together? If you are wanting to go mythology, look at some of the Egyptian stuff.  They have a lot of lion/cat deities, including Maahes- a lion-headed god of war.

Was thinking more a traditional english superhero name.  Shadow was the default for him since he was a young teen character, and then his age got rerolled to even younger than that.  He's a very young teen now.

Even given that he's also kind of a Nightcrawler esque character.

OT, but this just made me think of something- what if you took the name of an NPC character in-game, and they hunted you down to fight for the rights to the name? I could just imagine Shadowhunter incessantly tracking your hero and showing up at inopportune moments with an ambush while you're trying to fight some other enemy. "Oh, crap!"
