Guys I am happy to hear this news as well.  But let's just take a breather and not assume too much until Monday comes and passes.  There could be no announcement after all on Monday.  Or it could be "We are committed to getting this game waiting to hear back from NCSoft"

Believe me I feel like a kid waiting for my birthday after reading that, but I think its all best we assume nothing and just wait to see if what he says happens.  I believe him, I am not accusing him of making this up.  Just be patient and wait for an actual confirmed "yes or no" from the company.

First off IronWolf, what your going through is far more important than any online game - take care of RL first, it really sounds like you've got a lot of stuff to deal with.  Here is my fondest hope that things come out ok.

Secondly if they use Steam as a distro platform only, that's ok with me.  Personally I would prefer that once the game is downloaded that you can launch it directly without the need for Steam running in the background.  It wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me, but it would give me something to think about.

Lastly, don't care if the news comes this Monday, next Monday, or any day that ends in a "y" as long as it's the news we've all been waiting for -- the game is ours and we'll have an launch date for you soon.

wonder if it will be missing world that will get cox, because all dev houses even cryptic would not need to show if they can take care of cox. (just thinking out loud :) )

Nothing against MWM, I added to the KS campaign.  But we have heard over and over from Ironwolf that NCSoft wants proof of expertise and ability to run their game.  MWM will be the first to tell you they are novices at MMOs.  I'm not saying it's impossible, but I will be highly surprised if they are the 'mystery studio'

It seems that Pandora's Box is not only opened but giant streams of stuff are leaking out all over the internet.   ;)  Oh well, so much for staying quiet until the deal is made.  If there is no deal cemented, I don't really think there should be any press announcements yet.  NCSoft is going to get hammered into the ground again from one end of the MMO world to the other if it falls apart after that.  Is NCSoft okay with this press announcement?  And believe me, this is coming from someone who feels they are the scourge of the earth and not just over CoH.  But at this point, they are trying.  The Mystery Team should definitely ask NCSoft before they "announce" anything, especially if it isn't a concrete "We're buying the game, everything went through, and here are the plans for CoH and CoH 2."

PS/ It would be sorta cool in a way if it was Cryptic.  Positron is over there!  And love Jack or hate him, he created the IP and the original launch game.  (Wow, would Positron have to rise from the dead at that point?)  And maybe some of the former Paragon Studio Devs could join back up again....  But that would be odd for Cryptic, seeing as how they have Champions Online-- a bit redundant.  Still, they'd practically have the market cornered except for DCUO....  I dunno.  It was just a thought.

I am assuming that there would have to be some talks with Nc Soft before such a huge announcement was made.. I am hoping some of the former devs are working to get the game back.. I am also hoping Jack Emmert has nothing to do with it..
