Apparently, per Robert, the identity of the Mysterions was jaw-dropping to him.

In response to somebody saying "Doesn't really matter to me who they are,".
He replied --

And the identity of the Mysterions removes all doubt from him that the deal will go through

Hmm, I really want to get my hopes up sky high....but I just can't.  I'm cautiously optimistic though.

I confess, that line, it's all up to NCSoft now, kinda... Like I'm still hopeful, and I believe NCSoft wants this to work too (after all, money for them, and good press, and lots of rescinded individual boycots) but that line isn't exactly terribly inspiring!

Of course in the end that just means waiting for Monday, but that was the plan anyway :)

as far as I understand, it will just be to show who is buying cox, not the yes or no sadly. I think Robert sent a message to Iron requesting information than was told who was in the team, then Robert went and asked the team for information.

I agree some salt should be taken with this.

As to NCSoft, well like many CoH players I was definitely feeling a bit burned as it were by the shutdown. 

It was like "My toys! They are taking my toys!"  Then of course there was the overall lack of information at the time about the whys and wherefores and the petition effort and the efforts of others to buy the game and NCSoft flat out refusing to sell.

Obviously some facts are not known to this day about why sales attempts back then failed and we may never know them, but in the eyes of many CoH players NCSoft took on a rather villainous image.

Hence the concerns that if the game is returning and NCSoft has any control over it that they could sock it to us again with another shutdown.
