That's a good point...."get out of colored circles, and slug it til it stops moving" seems to be way too prevalent in modern gaming.

To be fair, there was some of this in CoH in the Incarnate trials as well.

It is a question of scale. The amount of stuff behind the paywall on TOR was pretty funny: Your number of quickbars (a UI element), equipping event awards, in game customer support, rested xp, xp rate, the ability to equip purple items, field revivals, mount level, running, space mission access, operations, being able to mail credits, fast travel all worked into throwing some money down.

with 2.9 release, you will not get to access any guild content unless you guild ponies up 50 million credits just to start. the total goes to 130 million to get the whole ship.

when COH comes back, we wont get our characters back? not a huge thing for me, I will have fun leveling the sets a second time..maybe do it better this time.

Heh, some folks had a devil of a time getting out of that green stuff.

And boy, did a lot of people foul up on the simpler red and blue circles in the MoM iTrial. Glad there was no badge regarding that part!

We don't know if we will or not. Every one is just throwing wild guesses.

5. The game is balanced at player vs 3 enemies (with standard equipment), which (after CoH) is more frustratingly weak than challengingly fun.

Bah. I remember EQ1 where it was pretty much the other way around. 3 players vs 1 enemy. ><

I wouldnt expect there to be a ton of updates right now... with the team working on something for NC Soft to prove technical prowess they are most likely under some type of NDA.. The next news I expect is a Yes or No..

If it were just the issue of who knows how to keep a server from falling over in maintenance mode, that'd have been enough.

Bioware is generally bloody brilliant at telling a good story, ME3 aside.

What do you mean "ME3 aside"? Up until the end, ME3's story telling was the best of the series. Even the end was far above average. It only sucked when viewed in comparison to the rest of the story, and even then I'd debate whether it "sucked".

At least that's a step up from the old school "Slug it til it stops moving" without the first part. :p

I absolutely LOVED playing through the trilogy, but, let's face it. Yes, the ending for ME3 absolutely unequivocally without a doubt sucked. Hard core.

Here's an extended explanation for just how bad a turn the writing took:

It's almost as if the writers handed the series over to a couple of 3-year olds and said "can you finish this for us?"

To add to this, news for abit will be slow, while they work on something for NC. just put out good thoughts and maybe we will all will go home one :)

True. It wasn't a badly told story...I just didn't like it. Maybe rather hypocritical of me considering I liked the Fenthick/Aribeth parts of the story in NWN.

It was someone else who said it sucked; that's frankly a stronger word than I would have used. I just hoped for better for a universe and characters I'd invested several years and a fair bit of emotion into, if that makes sense. Not the first time and won't be the last.

All of this super hero gaming talk has forced me to download CO once again....I know it's a road to nowhere, but at least I get to don the spandex once again.

Word... ME2 was awesome.. ME3 for me had some decent points.. but overall was a huge letdown at the end..  basically.. pick a color.. here is your ending.. hope you had enough points..

The best part for me was when I thought Grunt was dead.. and he wasnt... that was cool..

Also hated the fact that I never saw Tali's face.. and then the picture they gave you was some generic human face.. like they didnt even freaking TRY..

I would never play it over several times like I did ME2 trying different character classes.. etc etc..

ME2 when I got everyone to live.. I felt like I accomplished something.. I got my team.. we went.. we kicked butt.. we had a great ending scene with Shepard jumping onto the ship.. We showed Harbinger that organics.. and you too Legion.. werent going down without a fight...

ME3 was like... Meh.. its over....
