I actually liked how stealth could be countered.  Alot of people, I call them "stealth godmoders" tend to think stealth was a be-all-end-all 100% undetectable thing in CoX when it wasn't.  I actually hated just as much how they acted like nothing should ever be able to detect them just because they were pushing a button.  I enjoyed a few stalker builds to don't get me wrong, but I felt it was bad practice to assume anything was perfect.

I couldn't disagree more, on most counts.

*I* was one of those who took SuperSpeed and combined it with a +stealth IO for always on stealth (unless I attacked). And I did this at the earliest level I could.

Sure, a *few* things could see me - like the drones and one or two others. But against 99.9% of all other mobs, I certainly was utterly stealthed. And since the newspaper/radio missions let me pick who I wanted to fight - usually council - it was no worry.

And that was/is one of the GREAT things about CoX. No other game lets a lowly 14th level character walk right up to a 50th level baddie, face to face, and still remain safe and untouched.  Getting full stealth (SS+IO) permitted me to set up each alpha perfectly, at the exact time and place of my choosing.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

*Shrug* With the ragnarok proc and the summer -knockdown enhance from the summer event, I could basically keep them perma-locked-down in my nova form. But yeah, Malta has always been kinda brutal, pre-clarion especially.

Yeah, that was wellll before then. I think I recorded that one back in '09--about 2 or so years before Incarnates and stuff.... Plus, it was "looked down upon" by some circles to use break frees during "test videos," due to pretty much everything being mitigated by inspirations. I wasn't a subscriber to that (I thought, hey, if you got 'em, use em!), but for the purposes of that video, I was trying to see how long I would last against them without any kind of mez protection.

That, and it was a human-form build (no awesome nova KDs for me! haha)

swtor isnt getting any new playable content for over a year...and what little they are making is gated behind HUGE credit sinks. they still havent managed to fix some of the bugs from launch.

I've always wanted to give human only a go sometime, What exactly are the advantages it has over Tri-form? It seems like it loses some utility (Can't just freely nuke, Can't dwarf out of stuns, ect.) Better ST damage? How's it work?

I decided that the problem was that the world was unprepared this challenge (which, even I, shudder to mention). Thus, I went back in time (admittedly, farther in time than my initial calculation). All my plotting is to force you to become stronger so you will be better prepared for this future. How do you think that all my "plots" keep getting discovered? I give clues so you will find them! And I do everything to ensure that you are sufficiently prepared to meet this future and survive it!

Now you know the truth. What you do with this information is up to you. I have succeeded in my goal. Because of me, you are stronger. I can go to my grave knowing that I have done everything I can to prepare you.

P.S. Some of my Automations think they are the real Lord Nemesis and their goal IS to conquer the world. Every time I find one, I ensure that it is put down FAST. Although at least one has "gotten away" from me. Please, do what you can to stop it as fast as you can. My abilities are failing me.

For my PB it was a thematic choice to not use Nova except at the very end...she didn't even have it til the last week, and then only for RP purposes, to be able to escape. Hubby did basically nothing but squid, unless we got into a big enough mess that stuff needed stomped on. I kept it busy, in human form when possible, Dwarf when not, and he blasted.

What can I say, both the "human" and Kheldian had a fondness for talking with their fists...

I knew this would happen when I created the Fake Lord Nemesis's!  They are taking a mind on of their own, thinking they are the real Lord Nemesis!  But don't be fooled!  As you can see I am a time traveler. AKA Mender Silos AKA Lord Nemesis.  Although listen well to this automation, probably one of my finest creations.  Not only does it spread words of hope and wisdom, but it actually believes it is the real one!  I have truly created sentient automation's!

I was talking about role players though.  You'd be surprised how may people would god mode it and then get pissed at any kind of high detection theme(even if it's beatable, they just want to do something without THINKING).  I would have liked in AE to make "detector zones" likewise, where stealth was debuffed or all mobs got much higher perception against you for going into it with the lua scripting.  Way I figure it, stealth is about knowing your environment and situation, not going through and pressing a button.  Stealth takes brains to use realistically.

Mmm that's true but SWToR is one of the few games I'll pay a sub for. It's got its share of problems and a cruddy business model but the voiced quests is top notch work. I just plan on going through some of the class stuff while I wait to hear word from the team here. Nothing trumps CoH.

Found this thread while reading up on some old CoH stuff, it's nice to see you lot are still putting up a valiant fight for the old girl!
Hopefully one day we can all get back to business and get leveling; personally, I've a mad itch to speed run the ITF again, to be brutally honest I'd even be glad to solo level my way through the Hollows after playing CO, DCUO, SWTOR and everything else inbetween.

But for now, bravo to all concerned and good luck with your campaign!
