New efforts!

Luna Eclypse, if I recall correctly, Brutes had the same modifiers for defense/resistance etc as scrappers.  They did have more base HP though, so on the balance they were tougher.

I have been messing around with the Titan Icon character creator and has been one of the most painfully nostalgic experiences. Creating characters was one of my favorite parts of the game but once I enter the world without anyone in it and without villains to beat down it makes me want the game back more.

Yeah, the number of married / dating couples running duos or sharing leadership of a guild that I bumped into on CoH was amazing. I think the game just lent itself to team play of any scale so well that real world people who were linked at the hip were drawn to it. :)

Just imagine if it's Bioware.

Ok, I know that's not very likely, but that trailer had me wondering XD

That trailer was rather like The Secret World, only without the bees. :)

If you mean Bioware might be the mystery buyers then I doubt that Bioware would need to demonstrate they had the technical chops to run CoH,

I know what you mean. My first two or three times flying around in Icon actually made me homesick. But now, it serves as a nice semi-fix while I wait for The Return. Plus, it made it possible for me to see about thirty of my toons simultaneously; check out their group photo in Multimedia. I'm using a later version of the photo as my laptop's wallpaper.
Linux. Because a world without walls or fences won't need Windows or Gates.

Probably not because they would not have to "proove" that they can run a game like CoH.

So that leads me to believe that it is probably a smaller team or teams working together.

I can say Bioware is not the group.

Well at least we are in August now. Patiently hopeful and optimistic would describe my attitude.

A little late to the party.  But regarding PvP the thing I didn't like about it that much didn't come around till later game.  Now I am not the best PvPer anyway.  And I remember when it first came out the PVP zones were full and it was a lot of fun.  Even though I was getting my butt kicked left and right.  But closer to the end of the game.  It was so hard to PvP because the people who were PvPing frequently were GOOD, and some of them had outstanding builds that made it very hard to stand up too.  I had a great PvE build, but even a great PvE build does nothing against a PvP build.  The set's alone gave a huge advantage.  But that isn't a CoH thing that is an every MMO thing.  All MMO's have separate PvP and PvE gear.  It makes sense why they would but it makes casual PvPing no fun at all because you are getting smoked all the time.  As for the ED thing.  The fact that wasn't in the game for the first 6 issues is already pretty crazy.  Every game has a diminished returns in it.  And you could still easily reach god-mode on just about any character with them in place.

I can say (not being a part of any group) that Bioware is not the group. If the group were any established, name-recognized studio, it seems like the "proof of ability to run a large MMO" stage would be a bit more of a formality. :)

Also, are we there yet?

;D
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

Crey snipers too.

It was fun flying through Founders on your way to Icon absentmindedly and see your bar drop dramatically.

So really, several things could pierce stealth, not just rikti drones.

Or AFKing and forget about the snipers near icon. Died a few times that way. Come back and your dead.

I actually liked how stealth could be countered.  Alot of people, I call them "stealth godmoders" tend to think stealth was a be-all-end-all 100% undetectable thing in CoX when it wasn't.  I actually hated just as much how they acted like nothing should ever be able to detect them just because they were pushing a button.  I enjoyed a few stalker builds to don't get me wrong, but I felt it was bad practice to assume anything was perfect.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

Last Known Hero

This is so torturous having to wait. I just want to play it again, and a huge bonus would be to be able to have it open source. I really hope it pans out for this group.

CoH was the first MMO my wife convinced me to try.  I don't even know how many duos we leveled together.
