During a zone event in Kings Row, the Clockwork were swarming. I got entangled with them near the hospital, and when they started to overwhelm me, I ducked into the hospital to get away from them. There must have been too many of them for the police drones to handle, because, to my utter shock, some of them managed to follow me INTO the hospital, and we had it out in the lobby! That's the only time I can recall seeing bad-guy NPCs in a public building like that. What's next, Hellions in City Hall?
As I recall at one point there was actually a bug where you could teleport Hellions into City Hall.

Well, I was referring to their being there voluntarily, of course.

I'm not sure when it was changed but I remember being chased to the ends of the earth enemies that could fly, mostly the clockwork. I could always get away from the ground ones but not them.

That's what I remember! The little whirlycopter clocks following me for miles, just a-zappin' and a-yappin'.

Ya, especially early on clockwork were relentless!
It takes a village to raise a child. And it takes a villain to explain the value of lunch money.

And I always took advantage of splitting up CW mobs by teasing the copter units away from the main body first, by pulling them high into the air, wiping them out, and then going back to finish off the grunt units.  Ah, Death From Above always was a favorite tactic.

I don't know what it was, but they seemed to follow you for SO much longer than any othre enemies in the game.  I remember once getting killed outside of a store in Steel, I think it was, because they litterally waited for me outside the entrance to the shop... the whole time trying to bust their way in!

'Twas quite a shock... (pun intended!)

actually yes... they will do that

That behaviour would actually have been pretty awesome for the gangs.

Kinda like the Ambushes that spawned when you exited certain missions, and caused so many deaths in front of Icon.

ugh...pinned to the door by Tsoo all for a costume slot.
In the end, we all are heroes, even the Villains; fighting to save a city that we all love.

That reminds me of the time I was in Sirens Call, and it respawned me at the hero hospital... as a villain. I still have no idea why it did it, but I certainly gave several heroes the scare when they respawned. Never seen someone run so fast to catch an elevator.  ;D

I remember being able to herd citizens you rescued by not letting them get close enough to thank you.  The more bad guys you'd beat the more citizens you'd get.  They'd follow you everywhere.
If I was a Jedi, there's a 100% chance that I'd use The Force inappropriately.

Reading through this thread, I have to call BS.

I hope I'm wrong, and if I am I will be the first to apologize (and then buy a subscription).

Just so you are not surprised... you are wrong. Your apology need not be long or anything, but just be prepared to write it when the time comes.

Thanks :)

In a more honest reply, why are you calling BS? What part of this screams at you that it's all one hell of an elaborate hoax?

This looks to me like someone trolling for a flame war. Even if is completely sincere no good will come from engaging it. It said it had read through the whole thread, what could we possibly say to convince them that we haven't already.

Not telling anyone what to do, but i wold suggest that we let this one whither on the vine and not distract us or fill this thread with a debate about this.

Your call, of course, but consider if it is worth it.

Agreed, there isn't really any measure of proof that can be brought to light that hasn't already been discussed in here.  Ultimately, this would be a LOT of work on the part of Ironwolf to be a hoax.  I mean, we made him a mod, and he's had contact with a few folks among the management here, as well as with ex-Paragon employees AND folks who used to work with NC.

No point arguing with someone who doesn't care about that stuff.

I'll I can say is that in Ironwolf -has- pranked us (and I don't believe for a second that he did!), then there will be two mobs after him! The first to give him a Prank King 2014 award, the second to string him up by his curly bits! :p
