New efforts!

I don't have time to look at the 3 or 4 CoH facebook groups I'm in. Mostly I check in on the Guardian page where usually it's something silly or superhero related that has been posted. Honestly I don't even think of NCSoft anymore. Sure I wasn't happy with the shutdown. Right now I just hope they sell if they do or don't won't affect my purchasing another product from them because I'm not a MMORPG player I'm a CoH player and the next game outside of CoH that captures that feeling for me in a superhero setting is where I'll be.

I don't think much can be done about the facebook crowd or people who want to expound on how much they dislike NCSoft even on here.

I just want to play CoH again.

Still wishing the team the best of luck.

Pure awesome! ;D What's the exchange rate on Liver ingots to Pork Chop ingots?

On to other things. . .

Are we there yet? ;D

Are You kidding? Liver Ingots have value only to dogs and trainers of dogs. Maybe cats.

I can imagine the day that someone dropped 7 tabs of acid and 4 shots of whiskey and looked at liver and said, "hey! I bet this would taste great fried!"

Nasty stuff. So a billion Liver Ingots would exchange as no Pork Ingots at all!

Is it possible the owners of these facebook pages could be contacted and asked to remove or possibly moderate, or better make the groups private so that the negativity and snowballing remain a little more under control and not public?
Really hope all the work Ironwolf and this group have done and are doing for our game, isn't ruined by a few @"%hats  :-\  :-\   :-[
That being said,
Thank you Ironwolf and to the group in negotiations.   Hope things are going well!!  ;)

Right, I'm happy just to see an opening to talk with NCsoft about it. Sure, it'd be fantastic to get the game back, but if the deal falls through, at least I'll know it was an honest amicable attempt by both parties. Much appreciation to our potential future devs as well for making the effort. And, still, I pledged my money to back City of Titans so I'm always going to support that whether this happens or not.

At least two of the owners think that this whole thing is nonsense, just a rumor run amok, so no point in moderating discussion.

I happen to like fresh liver, though I would tend to value pork chops two to one over liver. . .

Now Halibut ingots. . . They would have to be near the top of the exchange rate, sadly still out of my price range.
We're almost there!  ;D

The RNG hates me.

I always wished the tech was there for Propel to grab a nearby world asset to fling at mobs instead of pulling a random model out of thin air.

But I, for one will be extremely quiet towards NCSoft until this Trial succeeds, and I have my fingers on my epic loot...
...and then, I'll just as silently buy a random NCSoft game, unsubscribe it after a month, and add a "I only played this to thank you for bringing my City back." to the questionaire.

That's close enough to my plan. My sister's been trying to coerce me to take up GW2 since it launched...had to fend off a gift key at the last sale. If we get CoH back, I'll *somehow* find enough room/hours in the day and give it a go.

Not sure if I'll like it and no idea how I'll come up with time or hdd space...but I'm a person of my word and that was always my promise.

I felt that the Gravity Powerset lacked soft controls on shorter timers. I would have liked to see something like an Anti Gravity field.. like an Ice Slick..  that knocks foes upward..  I would have liked the single target hold to be more like Ghost Widows Soul Storm power which lifts they and twirls them around.. possible doing some DoT because its crushing them..

I did finally get a nice Grav/Time controller which I enjoyed and I wanted to try a Grav/Dark Dominator..

Quote from: Ironwolf on July 13, 2014, 01:37:46 PMWe caused a lot of pressure on the first sale effort and that pressure hurt the negotiations. The team now is saying this is what NCSoft does not want to happen again. It doesn't matter whether we agree or not - NCSoft holds all the cards. For them doing nothing is the easiest thing. I get the whole freedom of speach thing and love that freedom. I guess ask yourself, is having your say worth them not dealing with us as a community again?

Bollocks. If a billion dollar corporation is gonna hold onto a property they're not using just because of the hollering from the peanut gallery, that most definitely is being done out of spite. And they're proving their maturity level is actually rather low. We have absolutely no power in this situation and they know that.

"Oh no, we must keep quiet or else they will not sell the game to someone else!" Frak that felgercarb. They're being the bully in this situation if they insist on dangling doom over our heads unless we all sit down and shut up.

This sort of thing isn't helping.

My apology's to all, you are right of course, I am just finding it hard to read allot of these posts claiming misunderstood NCSoft.
Business or personal on there end doesn't matter to me cause it was all personal to me and im still hurting.

Actually, since we aren't a direct party to these negotiations, they aren't dangling doom over anyone's head.  They're doing business with someone, and we're interested 3rd parties.  Being a bully in this case would be them being unreasonable in the negotiations, which from what we can tell they aren't.  They're skittish, and already have seen first hand just how vicious and brutal aspects of this community are willing to be if they aren't satisfied.  Think of it this way: if doing the transaction won't net them enough to justify the headaches, hassle, and general ill-will that keeps heading their way, what responsible business person would continue?  We, as a vocal consumer base, can have ENORMOUS power...we have to decide if we want to use it to help the sale, which would mean quieting down for a little while, or to appease our own hurt feelings and bellicose natures.  Personally, I don't want my issues with NC Soft to impact these OTHER people's dealings with NC Soft.  I'd feel that way if it wasn't about CoX, and I certainly feel that way about it when it IS.  At this point, the ball is in our court.  Are we going to be heroes, and do the right thing?  Or are we going to be Jason Todd, and deserve a crowbar from the Joker?
