I was watching a YouTube recording of the last half-hour or so of the game. Someone on the player's team said something in the Team channel, and, when I heard the still-familiar *beep* that signaled it, I AUTOMATICALLY looked down to the lower-left corner to see if it was something that I should respond to! After all this time. So it might not take me as long to regain the feel of the game as I might have imagined.

I've been having that beep as my notification signal on my phones all this time. Short concise and down to the point. I love that tone!

BTW, for whomever gets control of CoH, I really hope they realize how important it is that you be able to update your personal information. That includes your name. NCSoft never let you change your name on your account, so you were stuck with whatever you put there initially. I know of several individuals for whom that was either an annoyance or even a deal breaker, for a myriad of reasons that I'm sure at least some of you can appreciate.

In truth I was considering it from the griefing standpoint - can you tell I play online games?

Some idiot doing stuff and people thinking it was me - I do enough stupid things on my own.

First Mission was her soloing Atlas Park cause we only had one computer that we were fighting over.

That's actually happened to me before in City of Heroes.

Shortly after I published my Warshade guide, someone made a toon with my Warshade's name on another server and was going around acting like he was me... Since I didn't play on that server, I didn't know about it until one of my forum mates told me about it....

What is it they say? Imitation is the best form of flattery? lol

Seriously though, I'm thinking that based on everything you do for this community and everything you've done for this team, they'll work out a way for you to get your name reserved.

In fact, I think everyone on these forums (I see you all as hardcore followers of CoH) will most likely get a bit of a head start ahead of "the masses"...

I could be wrong, but it seems like a nice gesture for those of us who can't seem to focus anywhere else but our beloved game--even nearly two years later....haha

Somehow I get the feeling the community would be turning that griefer into a griefee at every opportunity.    Good luck to them joining any team or TF.    And if they dared to enter a PvP zone?  ...Oh my...

Robin (me) on getting Risha, my main but flawed Mind/Emp troller back...I have about a hundred toons, there will probably not be that many slots.  I'll have to pick some.  Maybe I shouldn't pick Risha. (thinks).  But I put some awesome purples on Risha -- my only purples -- and I think I loaded her up with stuff before the game shut down...(whines internally about lost Sentinel files when computer crashed)...and she's one villain -- which villain? -- from the Preaetorian arc badge, but she can't do that solo, she's too weak....Hey!  I'll be teaming more.  She's excellent in a team!  Yes, I should definitely bring her back, even if I don't play her as much...

You don't have them now, nobody ever promised that you will have them back, ever, so why are you being negative?  We have the first real shot at getting the game back in some form and whenever I see a discouraging post it completely boggles my mind, regardless of how much money or time you spent.

To think I had just about given up hope!  If we get the game back I think I will remake some of my favorite characters with different power sets.  Like my MA/shield scrapper would become an SF/shield scrapper.  My WB/Poison corrupter would become a WB/Sonic corrupter.  I'll likely make a new dual pistols blaster with a new secondary if I can find one I like.  I think I have a decent concept for a bio armor toon of some sort.  I am excited at the prospect of getting back in game!  Fingers crossed!

I cannot understand why some people are getting upset that other people are expressing their desire to get their characters back when and if the game returns. What, are you afraid this will somehow create some bad juju and the game fairies will give us lumps of coal instead?

I refuse to be satisfied with less. I want my stuff back. If you don't want to hear me say that, then don't listen to me. Simple!
