Steam packs are discounted for the Summer Sale. The team packs are excellent value at £14.99 with 4 (pretty decent) heroes, extra costumes for them, stash & cards. The MH website has these up for $41 and even converting that to £'s it's still a massive saving.

You don't need to have MH loaded through Steam either as you only buy a "key" on Steam and apply it through your Marvel heroes account. (Though you'll need a Steam account to buy the packs at the discount)

Hmm, I see those as 60$ on the MH website. Steam has them (discounted) at €27.5 for me which is almost 50% more than what you're seeing.

Having grown bored with playing Champions Online (pretty fun game; but, has long been given only miniscule development), recently I downloaded and installed Marvel Heroes. Lotsa fun!

I had not played any of the Diablo games, so I was unfamiliar with Gazillion's style of action multiplayer RPG. MH is not a traditional MMO like CoH or WoW; but, it's really great at what it does.

I started out by choosing Captain America. Currently, his level is in the low 30s. After earning sufficient Eternity Splinters, I bought Scarlet Witch to try out a different play style. Thanks to Hero of Steel and others for posting about various giveaway codes, I lucked into two additional player characters: Colossus and Hulk.

Seeking tips on the game, I found mac2monster's YouTube channel, which provides copious character builds and other play guides. (His builds are for level 60 and soloing Cosmic super villains. They're not always useful for leveling up when not all powers are available. Still, his guides give me a lot of information.)

Keep the giveaway codes coming, please! Particularly for additional playable characters!

Pretty much the only 'MMO' I play. Can't face even playing Wildstar due to the whole NCsoft thing.

Got everyone at 60 with a few prestiged and in the slow process of gearing everyone up

Much better game than it was a year ago, well worth playing
