Ditto what Nightmarer said.

If/when the City comes back, I sincerely hope the powers that be market and advertise the game as it should have been to begin with.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!  Infinity Server...

When we get the game back - I have personally decided to have some fan based marketing and contribute funds towards it. We can definitely work with the folks who get it and time our ads to match with their efforts.

I really believe we will get it back and once we do - that we can show the rest of the world the fun we have in the game.

When we get the game back

I knew it was a matter of WHEN rather than IF. I just don't see CoH fans giving up regardless of how many obstacles there are to climb or hoops to jump through. You and the rest of the team who are working hard to give us back our game deserve every bit of respect from all of us.

Really :D, I have never given up hope on getting this game back, I always knew we would get it back one day. This was my first official mmo that I have played (not going to say stg was my first.)
One day the Phoenix will rise again.

I actually have been playing Wildstar and like it quite a bit.  I don't like that its published by NCSoft but I keep hearing it has the same clause that Arenanet has saying they own or can buy the game if their business relationship ends with NCSoft.  The game self is pretty awesome, as much as I depise NCSoft.  The game made by Carbine is really good, people keep throwing around WoW clone which frankly when playing the game I don't really see at all besides the graphics.  I don't blame anyone for not wanting to play a game published by NCSoft, but if you want to know what I think about Wildstar then I think its good enough to risk again.  I don't mind being hurt as long as the times before are good.  All good things come to an end.  When CoH comes back I will continue to play Wildstar along with CoH

But does it have the soul, the atmosphere, the sound and music that CoH is unique for? To me  it seems visually far to childish approach.

Aye, I have plans myself to help contribute to the game.

Firstly, I plan to make a walkthrough series for the game.  A series made to teach people not only how to play the game better but how to deal with mobs current and future.  I plan to share most my secrets on how I can make any character effective when I really want to do that, not just with IO's and incarnate powers but with power choices and strategy.

Secondly, I plan to debunk some myths about CoH, particularly it's difficulty compared to CO.  I plan to prove CoH is not a hard game to get into yet has depth.  At the same time I plan to display that CoH is, well, just more balanced in difficulty than CO.  Or even other mmorpgs.  But I also plan to really show it's depth and how the game, every thing has far more then just the one solution people think of, but top that off, it's a game that really encourages you to use different tactics regularly.  It had a large "altitus problem" for a reason.  But it was for a good reason.

Thirdly is to prove the game was what it was, an excellent game and a game made for people who aren't necessarily into mmorpgs by proving the above.  That it wasn't a repetitive grind fest for the most part.  That there was more to the game then just powerleveling up to level 50.

Edit: Fourth, I think i'll also point out CoH, story telling wise, is also more balanced in terms of how npcs react to you.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

The game isnt the same as CoH, no. But CoH was nothing like EQ or UO, or AC II, or Shadowbane, or anything of the other MMO's I have played.  All of which I liked very much for their own thing.  I loved CoH but I am a MMO player and have been before CoH was even made so I am slightly less picky on my MMO's I just like the whole style and genre, not to suggest CoH wasn't special though.  So to answer your question.  No, it doesn't have the atmopshere, the sound and music that CoH is unique for.  Instead it has the soul, atmosphere, sound and music that Wildstar is unique for.  The only game I want to play that is like CoH, is CoH.  However Wildstar is hardly a "generic" mmo which seems to be the general consensus about it if that is any help.
