After way more clicks than should have been necessary (a couple were "in the wrong direction), the actual page where you select the payment level does not reflect the discount or in any way indicate that there is one, even though each page to that point advertised it in some way.

Unless the normal monthly rate is $22.50 US...
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."
