Targeting Drone and a few set bonus's was enough to get you above 22% at all times too if I remember correctly.

yup.. very few actually..

SureShot my Arch/Devices was already there.. he had Targeting drone, Tacticts slotted with Adjusted Targeting IO's and a Kismet + Accuracy in Cloaking Devices. And Aim was also slotted with Adjusted Targeting. Throw in the Increased Perception Unique..

I dont care if your stealthed..Invisible.. running Elude or Moment of Glory.. Your getting hit..

SureShot's motto..and Battle Cry

Bullseye!!!! Direct Hit Dont Miss..

And add in that instant Snipe in Issue 24 ?? WHAT !!!!!!!! Puh Lease !!!

I was considering Moonbeam on some stalkers, since without the 7 + second activation time, it could actually do some mean damage..

Unfortunately, I believe the devs were making it so that stalkers did not benefit from the change to snipes.

Issue 24 was going to be HUGE !!!!

Im not surprised it was known as " Issue Fix Everything"

(last two effect lines)

Well damn. And I had held on to that wretched snipe since they were first introduced on my stalker in hopes that they would be improved.

Does anybody remember if there I/O's that had set bonus that help with to Hit bonuses? Not sure if I would give up defense (which I love for blasters), but I might if snipe could work better.

I do have to confess that I often took it anyway, especially if I had build up. Aim, not as much. But build up and snipe did some pretty decent long range damage. Good way to get a party started!

I had an elec/elec Stalker.  I got into Stalkers very late on.  Half a year before closure.  I found them cowardly...yet vicious fun.  The way they fight reminds me of how Palpatine takes out 3 Jedis before running out of steam vs Windu. :P

'I'm dead...'  and 'Urk...now I'm...uh...dead...' and...'I'm nearly dead...now I am dead...' was usually how the mobs went down.  The 1st one dropped like a sack of spuds from a mystery strike.  And the other two, slow to react soon follow.  Heh.  I always called it the 'waltz of death' in my mind...1, 2 3 (dead...)  Rinse, Repeat.  It never got old...

Ah, my approach with my Elec/EA Stalker was a bit different. Find a large group of enemies, Lightning Rod, Chain Induction, Thunderstrike, Jacobs Ladder, Energy Drain, etcetera until only the bosses were left which were usually sapped and damaged enough to finish off with an Assassin's Strike or other ST attacks. Elec Melee and Energy Drain were great for sapping foes so that the really tough ones couldn't do much in response by the time the minions and lieutenants were cleared out except try to run and then die trying. Of course the knockdown attacks made it so that minions and lieutenants didn't exactly get many chances to fight back before dying either. Then again i mostly focused on orange and red cons, and generally didn't take on purples.
So far so good. Onward and upward!

Well, you had the Kismet +6% Accuracy which also granted +6% To Hit. The you had the Siphon Insight: Chance for To Hit which, when triggred, gave a +20% To Hit but that's a totally different subject since Synapse was also going to drastically change the way procs worked in I24 so not sure how useful that chance was going to be.-

Besides those, can't remember any other sets that granted +To Hit but if I stumble upon any while doing builds in Mid's, I'll let you know.-

Please do. I always slotted the Kismet proc. Just too handy in general.

Yes, I did the 'sneak' attack on the way up.  After I got Lightning Rod...pretty much did the same thing as you.  Chain Induction was always a vicious little attack with a 'frazzle' varrrk in the face of the lead mob.  Thunderstrike to unleash the bu-a-shakka.  Jacobs Ladder.  Liked that one...

...but I notice you had the rather intriguing EA 2ndary set.

I had that on my Dark Melee/EA scrapper.  Good defense numbers.  Didn't get hit that often.  -to hit as well on the melee?

Though, interesting idea to have it as a 2ndary to an elec' primary Stalker.

When the came comes back, I'll have to give that a try.

Hmm.  Thanks for sharing.

I also had an elec/EA. It didn't hurt that lightning rod summoned a pet rather than doing damage meaning that the next attack could also crit.

I don't recognise Azrael's description but that's because I always played defence based stalkers rather than /elec. Mine could quite happily scrank TFs and did on many occasions. KM/SR, elec/EA and staff/WP were my favourites.

Solitaire

Never had one myself but heard that a DM/Invul Scrapper was pretty tough fully spec'd out, due to softcap and -to hit debuff from DM.

I soloed a DM/Invul Scrapper to 50 no TFs or other teaming.  Just tons of fun with a little grind thrown in.  Took what seemed forever though. :P
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!  Infinity Server...

Heroette

I had an Ice/DM tank.  She was so fun but it did get repetitive because nothing really damaged her.  But that was the beauty of her too.

Let's round this back to the efforts or the future of the game at the very least. If ya'll wanna keep talking about archetypes, what you did with them, etc., there is a whole subforum for that. :)
