Hyperstrike

Okay guys,

As I have for the last few years, I'll be running a CoH M&G at Origins Game Fair.

Date: Saturday, June 14th 2014
Time: 7PM (Eastern)
Location: BD's Mongolian Grill

And, as always, I'll be working Catalyst Game Labs.
Note: My duties are keeping me out of the booth a lot more in recent years.  So if you need to get in touch with me, shoot me a PM in this thread BEFORE THE CON, and I'll get you my contact info.

Hyperstrike

Hi guys.  This bump is to let people know that this is still going on

If you're attending (and only if you're attending please), can I get replies from you in this thread?

This way I can make sure we get a large enough area that people can sit together.

Ironwolf

I would have loved to go but have a battle to fight in on that Saturday.

Hyperstrike

Bumping for visibility.  We're about 2 weeks out now.

Sugoi

I was there last year along with some other local friends ex-players, I'm sure we'll make it again this year.

Ohioknight

I'll try to make it in this year

(but, man I wish you weren't doing Mongolian Grill, I hate that place -- they make you build your own food and if I could cook, I wouldn't need to go out to eat :))

Todogut

I plan to attend the meet and greet. Please count me in.

Hyperstrike

Okay, I managed to obtain an honest to god RESERVATION THIS YEAR!   :o

So,

Frustratingly, I will be at a wedding at that time. I'll pass the info on to my CoH buddies though.

Although this is probably too late to be used for this year, how about adding a CoH / Icon event to any (not just the Origins) CoH Meet and Greet?

As long as at least one person can bring in a laptop / desktop unit you could have a Costume Contest, continuing the in-game designer skill displays.

One of my friends (who has won quite a few of the CC's he's entered his characters in) is planning on bringing his laptop to the M&G this weekend, and it would just take a few moments to transfer any other player's characters / costume designs to his machine via a USB flashdrive.

Part of the fun of playing the game was in seeing new characters / costumes show up in the game, and this would help keep it alive.

After I took off 'cause my wife called, I drove home and realized just as I got here that I totally ran out on the check  :o
(so I called, got our waiter, and he ran the card over the phone -- gave him a 3$ tip on a 3$ bill since I ran out on him leastIcoulddo)

But this has given me the perfect name I was trying to come up with for a speedster hero for when we get the game back...
DynaDash ;D

/Crime will have to pick up the check

Shoot I completely forgot about this... Damn, it was nice seeing some of you last year though.

Hyperstrike

Sorry I took so long coming back to this.

We had 8 people there this year.  It was fun.  I even got a call into TonyV to say "Hi!".

Ohioknight.  I wouldn't worry too much.

While there were separate checks for everyone, I had the server keep a running total for everyone and he got an extra tip from me based on that.  I do it every year, because it keeps the servers happy (the one at GenCon from just before the closure announcement was a whopper and they couldn't believe I was actually tipping that much).

And Nojiyat, just figure that so long as I'm attending GenCon and Origins (as I'm a vendor and a sponsor, that's pretty much a given), I'll be doing a M&G.  So I hope to see you next year!
