I hope folks had a happy Easter, too.  Now, I go to sleep!

My Easter Sunday consisted of Demolition of the kitchen, a half bath, removing the carpet (and the floor tiles underneath) from the bedrooms and hallway, some sanding on a few walls, and some clean-up in the new house that we'll be moving into by the end of the month despite the fact that the areas that are currently going through demolition will not have their renovations finished. Yes, that means that we will have no kitchen and no floors in our bedrooms for a few weeks. We need to get the new floor in the kitchen before we can put the new appliances and cabinetry in. Then, the place will be mostly livable as we work on other areas of the house. Eventually, I believe all the bathrooms will be redone. Fortunately, the installation of the floors will be done by professionals.

Still, it's not a bad place. 6 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths for under $450,000 in Southern California.  :)

Needless to say, I'll be busy for quite some time.  :gonk:

There will be computers in those room, yes. as well as beds and stuff. I guess you could say that it will have 6 computer rooms with beds for the people to take power naps on...and closets to hang their changes of clothes and stuff...

Update on the living situation:

we have a few walls installed where doorways used to be. Including my room. I actually have privacy now, instead of a Green Acres closet.  ;D

We have the floors and kitchen measured for flooring and cabinets. Now, we're just waiting for them to be delivered and installed. (probably about a week from now)

I also got my computer hooked up to the internet. Finally!

I moved into an old farmhouse (1871) with 5 bedrooms and 7 acres and paid only $149,000!

Michigan vs. California money.

the question is, are you still able to get Cable/DSL internet, or do you have to go with a satellite connection?

I wouldn't mind living in the country(-ish) as long as I had a good fast game-worthy internet connection.
