fire, electric, water and energy powersets were my favs.
my lvl50 tank was electric/electric. one of the only toons i played alot. spent hours playing that toon

Mind (controller primary, yay for TK!) 

My faves were my mind/kin controller and my claws/sr scrapper. I was always going a mile a minute while playing them to keep up with everything they could do.  So much fun!

Honorably mentions go to my peacebringer, my willpower/kinetic melee tank, my bot/ff mastermind, and my zombie/dark mastermind

I loved my plant/fire dom.  Hold'em and burn'em!  Great fun!  :)

The most fun for me was Energy/Energy blaster. Not great for teams, but my main (pre-incarnate) could easily solo bosses - and the occasional Elite Boss (as long as they didn't spam holds).

Fire/Fire tank was also a lot of fun. I was able to solo Mot just once, with a tray full of big orange skittles :)

my favourite individual power set was Dual-Claws. It offered for me at least, a large amount of alpha strike, debuff, and combo building so that I could take a scrapper, yet play them as a tanker to an extent counting on the group and area attacks to disable and then draw groups of opponnets to me.

Illusion

Good ol' Assault Rifle. Maybe it's not superhero enough for some, but, for me, nothing beats sending munitions downrange. And, with a stack of 16 Trip Mines and Sniper Rifle, I had fun soloing Elite Bosses.

for scrappers my fav. was kat/wp. for trollers is was grav/rad.

Secondary is easy: /Ninjitsu. With that set (and some time spent mastering it), you could turn a Stalker into a viable "stick around and scrap it out" character, not a one trick pony with Assassin Strike. Several useful aggro management tools, a superb self-heal, a solid Tier 9, and some "get the hell out of Dodge" stuff.  Solo an AV? Yep, multiple times with my Elec/Nin (well...with all T4 Incarnates and an enhancement page that was a "sea of purple"...probably a 2 billion Inf build, at least).

Primary is so hard to call. I adored my Willpower tanker...a sentimental favorite and pretty darn effective.  Illusion Mastery was one I was late to (I didn't get into controllers until about three, maybe four years from the end...and I played from just barely after launch), but it was godlike at times. And everything about Darkness Mastery was win...I was a D3 specialist.

And now I'm depressed. I miss this game so much.

Deceive on my Illusionist.  Slotted for duration, accuracy and range everyone can be my pet.

Trolls lieutenant punching the barrel of explosives killing all the minions never gets old.  Neither is getting two lieutenants beating each other senseless.

I had several powers that I played a lot but if I had to choose just one it would be the primary set for Fire Blaster.

Had a whole lot of fun with /Traps.  Not great for speed TF runs but trip mine was sweet.

Robots/FF was one I thought I'd have a hard time topping. The first time my Assault Bot launched a spread of incendiary missiles into my enemies, I thought I was going to weep tears of joy.

But then I made a Street Fighting Brute. That was just...I couldn't actually see enemies spit teeth, but I knew they were. :)
