Yeah. They probably already look at it as super hero games are not marketable. Even the number one didnt break 200,000 subscribers at peak, compared to the top ten fantasy MMOs where they may have broke the 1 million subs barrier if not very close and very least 500,000. Although I dont think it means better games, but looking at it from the business and spreadsheet standpoint. more subs equal more money.

But this also shows that not everyone want to play an elf and if a super hero mmo game is created properly and marketed, it can be a beast when compared to any genre

Marvel Heroes 3rd best Superhero MMO ever?

One might think this top 10 just includes all Superhero MMOs ever made and, as they didn't have enough games to fill up to 10, they had to include one that has not even launched yet :s

yeah kind of sad. But glad that COX is number 1 but out side people that play super hero MMO, that list probably isnt going to be taken serious especially including games not even out yet. It shows that there isnt even that many Super hwero MMOs and not much competition. AM I the only one seeing the untapped goldmine?

Sorry, what? I couldn't hear you. I was just doing concept sketches for a new MMO. Check this out, it's an Elf Archer. How freaking cool and original is that?!

The only thing I could think of as they were listing them was, "Wow! They actually found 10 multiplayer superhero games? Although, honestly, I'm disappointed that Freedom Force wasn't on there. I guess it's not strictly massive.
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

I would say some of those aren't *massively* multiplayer, and that Facebook social thing only loosely qualifies as an actual game IMO.
When you insult someone by calling them a "pig" or a "dog" you aren't maligning pigs and dogs everywhere.  The same is true of any term used as an insult.
