I need to rummage around my screen shots. There was a guy, Cozmic, on Victory, whose main toon looked like Cosmic Boy from Legion of Superheroes. I also somewhere saw a Wonder twin once. I always loved CoX for that, even if it tread on thin ice as far as copyright. :)

I saw lots of these, but I more reported them to protect Paragon than took screenshots.

I never made any, but I admit when I was giving CO a fair shake I did make Celes Chere down to every little detail I could think of. Named her 'Runeknight'.

I wish to God I could remember who it was, but I saw someone running around in-game briefly (on Justice, I think it was) in a near-perfect Captain America outfit, with the name "Cappy's Stunt Double". The bio had something to the effect of "Cap's back to fighting the good fight, but he still has contractual obligations to the USO. So we take turns. When he has to perform, I step in and do hero stuff."

When I laughingly commented on it, he immediately broke into this choreographed song and dance routine.

He was one of the only copyright violations I didn't report.

Was it the Star Spangled Man from the Cap America movie? Because that'd be freaking awesome.

Near the end, I created a character named ANGRY MAN IS ANGRY, with a backstory that was an obvious ripoff of the Hulk's.  (Naturally, his costume was a copy of... Superman.  I didn't play him much, but if I'd gotten him to 20, I would have made his second costume a copy of Batman)

i think it was around 2005-2006 that i saw Statesman getting on the tram in Skyway City. Does that count?

Later that day i read that some people at a con that Cryptic was participating at were given the opportunity to team up with Statesman in game that day, which makes sense. Didn't talk to him or get a screenshot since i just saw him run into the station and catch a train. By the time i realized he had costume pieces not available to other players and started to go "wait a minute..." the train arrived, so i didn't get a screenshot or try chatting with him. Of course in the later years it was not uncommon for Devs to show up driving one signature hero or another, but at the time it was unusual.

Of course if we're just talking about people making copies of other companies' heroes in game then it would probably take years for to list them all, some amazingly true to the original, but i almost never bothered to screenshot them.

I never reported anyone, and not because I had a few myself. I was impressed at the accuracy, more often than not.

I understand the copyright thing...I just enjoyed seeing hero,heroines of all types and took snapshots when I saw something interesting...I have a few more shots but they're not close ups.

I heard of Devs once in a blue moon firing up a character and joining players. One dev just talked to us in their special red chat mode for an hour. Never actually saw him,her.

I should have taken the shots of Ronald McDonald, I saw a few of those.

I still remember around the time the cyborg pack came out and running into an awesome claws scrapper based on a predator complete with a laser eye. Blew my mind the things people could do with the creator pieces.

But my favorite was making a Katara lookalike from The Last Airbender. The water affinity powers simply wouldn't allow me to leave it alone.
