Haha, although now it has me thinking of the scene from Superman the movie, after Superman rescues the young girl's kittie and she runs inside her house...
"Mommy! Superman flew down and rescued my cat!"

That was like his first day 'on the job' and nobody knew who he was yet. I think the girl called him 'a flying man' or peter pan or something.

"Nurse! Nurse!! I saw Spider-Man outside my window!"
*ups her medication*
Hrm... or would they lower it?

Haha... I'm not really trying to paint this as a negative at all... just being silly! :P

Oh, you have NO idea.... when we had the old RCA top load VCR... that got played over and over and over, at high fidelity stereo top volume.

It was *hilarious* at the time.  So wrong, I know... But then, at the time, I was 14 and this was funny.

Here's the scene in all it's horrible awesomeness:

/Today?  No way that gets through.  No. Freakin'. Way.

The slap is very easy to eliminate though, and it's still obvious she's being scolded. It still works.

Not as funny as "There's a dinosaur in our back yard" though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7tqVEdyteg

Colette

Wow, I'd forgotten how cool Chris Reeve was.

Does anyone else remember the observance of his passing in Atlas Park? Everyone wore a red cape.  :'(

I remember that vividly. There were tons of characters there, most facing the flag on City Hall....the emotes varied from saluting and kneeling, to grief. It was so touching.
Listen to the 'mustn'ts'. Listen to the 'don'ts'. Listen to the 'shouldn'ts', the 'impossibles', the 'won'ts'. Listen to the 'you'll never haves', then listen close to me... Anything can happen . Anything can be.

I missed that day, but I can imagine the splash it must have made!

The Original Post is adorable!  Naturally then we get all silly - and who am I to resist?
This first image here makes me want to channel Signourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley from Aliens and say "Get Away From Her, you PANCAKE!!!!"

The next two images of what I'm going to call "Inner Light Batman" makes me think of the non-existent third Matrix movie (sorry, Colette, IIRC, here are NO sequels to the first Matrix movie in your universe), as well as the idea that Batman/Bruce Wayne is filled with Light even as his outer physical form may be spooky to bad guys.

Of course the forum thread topic "Must Wear Superhero Costume While Working... " put me instantly in mind of Dilbert's "Casual Day Has Gone Too Far" by Scott Adams, especially Dilbert's co-worker, Alice, who dresses as a super hero (her not so secret identity: Super Alice!)  Apologies to the really kewl kids but this was the easiest image for me to find: http://www.amazon.com/Casual-Day-Has-Gone-Too/dp/0836228995
