It's about time Microsoft did something like this.. I mean, man.. I bought a gaming tablet with Android that keeps up with my gaming PC for $450ish bucks.. On PC it's $200 just to get WINDOWS. I'm like, Windows is dead...
$40 to get new Windows on 1-3 new PCs I can live with though..
It should be mentioned I had fast and friendly and helpful response from stacksocial.com in e-mails. I had to get them to confirm the above info - seemed too good to be true.

I dunno this place but it's all over Google right now for selling Windows dirt cheap (compared to what I'm used to!).
$40 and you get a license to put Windows 11 on 3 PCs/devices...

I plan to build 1-2 new vroom vroom's after the next Cyber Monday sales and spending $40 for 2 new Windows 11 Pro licenses sure sounds a lot better than spending $400... I sent them a mail today asking if I for sure will get a copy for 2(3) PC's with no OS on them.. Just sounds too good. I read they have 15% off on the first order from them, too.. (clicked away the window advertising it when I first logged on. You have to sign up for their mailing list I think.)
I do believe that this version is transferrable to a new PC, too. So like when I go to build next time I can turn Windows off on my old PC and turn it on on the new one.

I'm leaning towards grabbing it just due to it's 4 bucks and has amazing Marvel universe graphics and video. (Did I read they lost hundreds of millions of dollars on this game..?) The system requirements look pretty forgiving, too.
The single player campaign thing and store unlock sounds worth the price of admission. Am hoping the multiplayer play isn't so glitchy that it totally ruins it.

DC Legends (good mobile game!) is going to poof when they shut the doors on Halloween.
For the people that own a copy of Marvel Avengers TDE (PC), the devs and support are going away but the server is staying up. There is also a note about
Anyway, I never played the game but the graphics in the videos look sweet and they have the game marked down to 4 bucks on Steam until the end of September. The only way to be able to download the game from Steam after the shutdown is if you already bought it. Apparently it can be played solo or multiplayer.

I became disgusted with the whole playing model and decided that I didn't want to support it anymore due to it is wrong. Dunno what took me so long to get to this point. Think it was because I didn't expect that from a Star Trek game. I've always been pretty happy with Trek games.
STFC preys on people who are willing to spend completely unreasonable amounts of cash to 'win'. We are talking hundreds or even thousands of dollars... in an average week or maybe even in a day. On a regular basis. You have no chance whatsoever to be in the top 5% of this game without spending more than what most people spend on house payments. This game just isn't that good.. No game is..
It was the tedious progression with tedious tasks that just kept piling up with their short timers that originally turned me off and then I was like, what am I doing all this for anyway? I have no chance to be competitive in this game anyway. And I don't want to support it by being a part of it because what they are doing is wrong. The increasing requirements of time to do tedious tasks on short timers as one progresses is wrong and selling wins is wrong - selling them for SO much is very very wrong.

I just now completed 3 dailies..... by Losing a hand. I don't even have to win!! Just have to....play.
Well, not usually... Occasionally winning is required to complete a task but unless its like a BattlePass quest from a BP that's about to end there's no rush to complete the task and even if I don't finish a BP it's no tragedy.
A BP quest from day 1 can be completed on the last day. Dailies (2 of these trickle in every 8 hours up to a max of 8 ) can be done in any order and with rare exception an uncompleted Daily will always eventually complete itself without any effort on my part other than.. playing for fun. Weeklies can be completed without finishing all Dailies and not finishing a Weekly is no tragedy.
There are some very minor and very temporary changes in play that will help/are required to complete a small amount of BP quests and Dailies but for the most part just playing for fun completes tasks and the quests just serve to make play more interesting and provide a reason to receive lewt.
There's no mindless, repetitive, grinds. There's clocks but they are very forgiving and if I don't keep to them it's no tragedy and progression can still be steady without feeling like I had any tragic loss in the effort to keep up with the Joneses.

Kinda totally unrelated, but, the Art on most of the cards is really good!
They can be upgraded too to add a lil more flair with each upgrade and upgrading the card's appearance gives points for lewt. It's a major part of the game. Card art upgrade points come directly from winning any hand. I think sometimes the best loot in the game (if the RNG gods are merciful) comes from upgrading a card's appearance with enough points. So I get uber loot from guilty pleasure (cosmetic upgrades).
